Oh believe me, I DEFINITELY agree. But according to the rep who probably shouldn't be giving out this info, but I think he was flirting lol, long lines at store create media hype, when people come in the store they buy even more accessories the don't need, they have the potential to be talked into changing their plans to more expensive ones, there's just more money making potential. I think if there was concern about that, they should have just not done pre-orders all together. I got screwed too. But my friends and I are making it an event and trying to make the best of it. I stay in philly.. Nothing yet on UPS, FedEx or AT&T.. Still says preparing to ship - 10/2 - 10/13.. I did not get any emails that you said above and my charge was never dropped.. I ordered around 2:50 am EST, 128 GB space gray..
Anyone with shipping experience knows what would be the cutoff time to still receive the phone tomorrow?? Hoping against all odds.. Have to watch others getting their phone and turn green and blue with jealousy.

I still haven't received the email
Pre-order officially canceled and they were able to restore my upgrade immediately. I am currently first in line at my local AT&T store (yes I'm one of those crazies). I've watched both the FedEx and UPS trucks deliver a large quantity of pretty narrow boxes to the store and the store rep has confirmed there WILL be pluses available (no idea how many) and there will be no in store pickup for those who pre-ordered. If it matters, I'm in a relatively small location. Now just pray for me over the next twenty hours y'all! Good luck to everyone and here's to hoping we all have new huge phones in the AM!

Same situation. I'm first in line at the biggest att store in pensacola. I have a plus pre ordered. I've seen a FedEx guy bring in a couple of boxes. Manager said he would let me know by tonight if they have any pluses so I don't have to waste any more time here. Did you cancel your pre order today only after they let u know you will get a plus in the morning?

Believe it or not, when I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 at Best Buy and they didn't get enough in, Radioshack was there for me.

I actually cancelled before hand because customer service basically said from what they knew, there was no indication that mine was coming and since it was still able to be canceled, that means it hadn't shipped. I also had pretty much decided that I'd settle for a 6 because my mom (who has AT&T and ordered 10 hours after me) has plus scheduled for delivery in the AM but thinks it's gonna be too big for her so she was willing to switch with me.
