Note to everyone trying to track by reference:
You can't track by reference until its scanned in (and processed *possibly lags here too) to FedEx/UPS's system. Keep in mind on a plane with thousands, millions of packages it is easy for one to slip through that doesn't get 'scanned in', but it will eventually, and thats when the tracking will appear. This is why some of you are able to get to the tracking page from AT&T handing out the tracking number versus searching by reference and also why the tracking info shows it shipped days ago when its just getting updated now. Tracking number doesn't get linked to the package, reference, etc. until it's physically scanned.
*Package must get processed through AT&T's system, FedEx / UPS system, both are bogged all this week I'm sure.

I just got an email and texts confirming shipment of my two - Apple iPhone 6 (64GB Space Gray) ordered thru AT&T. First one ordered just before 11:20 am and the second just before 11:25 am on the 12th.
Confirmation emails tonight/Sept 17th at 6:35 and 6:37.
Picked up at Ft Worth Texas @ 11:17 am Sept 17th.
Estimated delivery 9/19/2014 by 3:00 pm.

Orded a 16 GB SG iPhone 6 and my order is still processing along with the 9/23 - 10/2 range. I still have some hope for a Friday delivery though!
checked my confirm email and it was placed at 8:21AM on Friday, September 12th.
Has anyone who ordered a space gray 6+ 128gb receive a shipping confirmation? Mine is still showing a delivery estimate of 10/02 - 10/13?
I ordered just past 2 AM on Friday. I was in your boat initially, but mine was bumped up to the 10/2-10/13. I'm hoping we both get ours on launch day!

Both ordered around 2:30 AM CDT on 9/12.
Only one MyUPS tracking number with delivery on 9/19, currently in Memphis TN.
Both phones still say "preparing for shipment" on order status page, nothing for carrier or tracking number.
One phone ship date 9/17-9/18 and the other 9/23-10/2 and the orders were literally placed within minutes of each other.
Does anyone have UPS tracking info on their status page? Not MyUPS, I'm asking about the ATT status page.

Been lurking the thread since I preordered mine. Thought I would give a reference point for those waiting for a tracking number. I ordered a regular grey 6 64GB on the 12th at about 10:45AM central time on the 12th from AT&T's website (it was processed under the premier section). I received a delivery window of 10/13-10/31. I was in the middle of being on hold with AT&T tonight waiting to ask if I could cancel if I went to an Apple store on launch day and be able to get one there, when I went on UPS MyChoice and saw I had a tracking number which fit the characteristics of my phone at about 8:30PM. I didn't get an email like I normally do from UPS and had to do some digging on the website to see it.
P.S. AT&T Status still says "pending shipment"

I myself ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB Silver from AT&T at 1:31AM 09/12/14. It is still pending shipment/preparing to ship and the dates are 10/13-10/22. Nonetheless I am being positive I will receive my preorder this Friday 09/19. I did receive an email from AT&T this morning 09/17 at 4:46 AM that due to the high demand, my iPhone is not yet available to ship. Gotta say some prayers and things will get rolling! Oh, and AT&T withdrew the funds for the iPhone on monday the 15th and its already been posted to my bank account. I did the AT&T Next 18.

I'm hoping for an update tomorrow, but my order status is still preparing to ship with an estimated ship date of 9/17-9/18 (fairly safe to say it isn't the 17th). Blurgh.

Same here. Ordered through the store like the rest of my family who all have tracking numbers.
I sure will be updating and lurking on here as i've been on all day. AT&T has been giving me so many problems since i've preordered. I've had issues with my shipping address on their end saying it was to a wrong address in another state. possibly a computer glitch or an AT&T representative trying to come up on my phone.
but all is taken care of and just waiting like the AppleFanboy who has no life haha
