Anyone else's FedEx delivery for Boston go from Texas to Indianapolis over night and not move since? It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow and while I know it's still early in the day, I would love to have some piece of mind that it's in the city.

Also, I ordered the 6 and it says it weighs 2 pounds. That seems heavy looking at other's no?

Indy is a hub for FedEx, so that sort of movement is normal.

I had the EXACT same situation/time/phone and am still at "Preparing to Ship" with a 10/2-10/13 date

When I called to get it fixed, the shipping date changed to 10/15-10/30. Then on Tuesday night, it switched back to my original 9/17-9/18 ship dates. I'm not sure what happened to rectify the dates. I have spent over 4 hours on hold with ATT trying to get my order straightened out over the last few days.

I saw the reps even added another line by accident, but I'm waiting until I have the phone in hand to cancel that order as I don't want them to cancel the wrong one.

Yes, as I am aware. However the choice to go ahead with the launch on the plus was based on luke-warm demand (hence not building up better supply). Instead they got pummeled and now we have November ship dates. According to other numbers floating around (and of course its the internet so it must be true), they are still producing 6's at a rate of 4 to 1 over the +'s. Some of that is that it actually takes longer to produce the 6+, due to said screen, but I still feel like APPLE is underestimating the 6+. That part is just my opinion though lol.

The 6+ screen has a 60% failure rate. That is a big part of the delay. That just means that when the screen comes off the production line only about 40% of them are good enough to go on phones. The rest gets recycled. This is a pretty common thing is screen production. You see those type of rates in TV and tablet production.

got shipping information! i ordered at 2:45 PM ET in store on 9/12 iPhone 6 64 GB Space Gray. Order status has changed to shipped by fedex, due to be delivered by 3:00 PM tomorrow! charge is still pending on the card and i didn't get any shipping email. have faith, everyone!

What puzzles me is that if there were close to 4,000,000 iPhones sold on the first day of pre-order and if we have 7-8 flights arriving everyday with about 140,000 iPhones, shouldn't we have had enough phones by now to cover the pre-order plus more?

Only if it's the right combination to fulfill the order, there are 18 combinations to chose from so it's a crap shoot to what was made. If 3/4 of the shipments are ip6-16gbsg and 3/4 og the orders are ip6+-64-slv then no. Could explain why some dates are pushed way back and some people can preorder yesterday and get a phone tomorrow.

Does 2 pounds sound heavy for just the 6? Just a little weird. And is it true that the box is just plain on the front? I've been seeing pictures of it on Instagram!

Not sure where you live but same here. I'm two hours from Indy but I've had Fedex deliveries from Indy before and the all come straight from there.

Yep, that's why I mentioned the + takes longer to produce. That leads me back around to APPLE of course knowing this, but figuring they could still produce enough inventory to meet their estimated demand, thus not delaying the +'s after all. They turned out to be wrong and now there is a massive shortage.

Another thing APPLE should consider is opening pre-orders much further in advance. This way they have a much better barometer what initial demand will be. Instead I'll be unboxing my phone with a turkey leg in the other hand. lol

When i ordered my iPhone 6 plus it said shipping was 14-21 days and now when i check the status on att it says shipping is 10/31-11/11 anyone else having this problem. i got my order placed in 27 mins of opening

I ordered mine (6 Plus ATT)at 2:59 am est and my status say's

Within an hour of my shipping status changing to processing, my phone has shipped!

It is going through Fedex and delivering by 3pm tomorrow! :)

(Again, iPhone 6 16gb SG, ordered @ 3:45am EST, confirm @ 5:12am, credit card issues resolved 9/15 & 9/16)

That's what I am saying. With the number of shipments US has gotten by now, Apple could have fulfilled the exact configurations.

I must admit, I lold at the "got my tracking number, but it seems too heavy!!!!" Post.

The paranoia is out of control, but I love it

My iPhone is scheduled for delivery tomorrow via UPS, but no one will be home. Will they leave it on my door step? I'm panicking...

So I ordered 2 phones. But I have 5 holds on my card. 2 $1, 1 $371, 1 $299.99, 1 $381. These have been on hold since 09/12. Both my orders says shipped. Hmm I wonder how long before these holds dropped and I'll be charged with the right amount.. ##
