The automated message at this number (866-267-4510) says I can't cancel. Is this reliable? BTW this number says I can't cancel. 611 says Im on back order

You have to talk to some one, My order says the same that it cant be cancel, If you speak to a rep they will tell you if you can cancel or not. If they say yes then it has not been shipped

I believe the 866 number is bologna if you're a Premier customer. It was bologna when I entered a number on my plan that isn't even upgrading because it's an iPad and it said it shipped. I'm on a Premier plan... maybe it's different for standard customers.
 
Came home from work for lunch, saw FedEx down the block driving away. Got excited and ran to the door.....no phone. WTF!
 
ATT via fed ex signature not required but

Met the Fed ex driver at door she said att did not require signature, but she has the right to and she did.She even thanked me for being home as she would not have left it.
IOW appears SOME Fed ex drivers will require a signature no matter how ATT shipped it.

Mine normally does.

The reason is simple - if someone steals it, they are responsible. Fedex uses a lot of independent contractors to deliver their stuff.
 
To those of you who have received your phone from Fed Ex how long did it take for Fed Ex to update your tracking to delivered? Just curious if it's worth risking leaving with a 30 min window to see if phone has arrived or not.

Immediately. I received an email within a minute or two of drop off. It's charging at my desk as i type!
FedEx left it at my door without a signature, I drove the 2 miles home to pick it up.

Just called AT&T Premiere. Dates on the site are accurate and she said she won't know 100% if an order is able to be canceled until she tries to cancel it.

So yeah, if you are a Premiere customer and you don't have a tracking number, you ain't getting it.
 
Apple Orders Must Have Priority

I've been pretty patient with this whole thing, but when I go to the Apple site and try to order the same phone I pre-ordered (iP6 Plus, 128 Gold), Apple says 3-4 weeks. My Pre-order date is 4-6 weeks (31 Oct-11 Nov). I'm headed down to my "Low Level" AT&T store to most likely cancel my order and then shlep over to the Apple Store to order.

Confused

I was online a few minutes after pre-orders were SUPPOSED to begin. Ordered the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB in space grey through Premier. Have had changing shipping dates. Right now, my online status says "Preparing to ship" with a date of 10/2-10/13. I called for info and the rep told me that he is seeing a November ship date. IF that's true, I guess I could cancel, order through Apple and get earlier (even with their 3-4 week delay).

I wouldn't. I have a feeling AT&T orders will ship sooner than your confirm says.

My initial date was 9-23 to 10-1. It arrived today.
 
Yeah, I'm curious which steps to follow for activation and all that. I know when I got my 5 there were conflicting instructions from the website, e-mail and on paper inside the box....
