AT&T Pre-order status

iPhone 6 Plus 64GB ordered Sept 12

I also ordered the iPhone 6 Plus 64GB space gray on Sept 12 from our local at&t store... must have been around 6PM. My estimated ship date is 11/9 to 11/27. I don't understand why my ship date is further out than people who ordered days later. So frustrating. My partner ordered his from Apple the same morning (12 hours earlier) and received his phone nearly 2 weeks ago.

Apple stores get their shipments directly from China same if you order online from Apple. Ordering from carrier stores the warehouses are the ones who get the shipments from China then ships to ups/fedex/usps. It's just all f&*!ed up. Sure Apple has fault but att imo is probably doing the worst of all carriers getting people their iphone6. All carriers have 6+ delay times that's because not many were produced. For some people their local target has more stock then the att store high makes absolutely ZERO sense to me.

I got mine at Target and their explanation is because they made customers preorder and the ones that are/were selling are the ones that weren't claimed when the phones came in. If this was the case than thanks to the ones who didn't pick their phones up ha ha

Yep. While I don't blame att completely in this matter this will be my last "contract" with them. Att is oblivious to any customer concerns. If I hadn't signed a contract of my own free will because I choose to be with AT&T and now signed another one I would be gone right now. The biggest thing I am pissed about is after preordering, seeing people who ordered after me whether before or after 9-19 getting the same phone I ordered. That alone will be why I leave att ASAP.

Yeah it seems like everyone that ordered this past weekend is having very fast shipping times - I don't get it.

Oops. Mistake. I ordered 10/5. 10/10 was the original promised date. It was never marked as back ordered.

Silver 64 GB 6 (website showed Preparing to ship,") shipping 10/16-10/27
Gold 16GB 6+ (Preparing to ship), shipping 11/5-11/14

Ordered on 9/30
SG 16GB 6 (preparing to ship), shipping 10/9-10/20
SG 16GB 6+ (preparing to ship), shipping 11/7-11/18

877 number says "back ordered" on all four.

Ordered all 4 from a brick & mortar AT&T Store.

I was concerned about getting the trade in for our old phones (4's & 5's), since (at that time) the $200 offer was just until the end of Oct. My rep checked with his manger and told me as long as we ordered before the end of the month, when we finally received our new phones, to come back into the store and they could enter a code that would allow them to give us the $200 AT&T gift card. Hopefully, they honor that.

I know it's just a phone, but it's so hard to wait. I go into the store and hold in my hand and think of Ferris Bueller, "It's so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

I ordered a 128gb silver iPhone 6 on 10/07.

Estimated ship date is between 10/10 & 10/14. The att web site order status is still preparing to ship. Although the 877 number changed from "back order" to processing this evening. I guess the tracking number is coming soon.

Wow! Just after hitting submit on the above forum post, i got an e-mail from AT&T with a tracking number from the USPS. LOL That's crazy.

Fyi, the att website still says preparing to ship. The 877 number went to "shipped" with the USPS tracking number.

This needs to change already, I am so tired of seeing this and the hearing "back order" on the 877#.

My GF called today and apparently she was talking to someone from the orders department and said her phone was going to ship out on Thursday... (Iphone6 16gb silver)... Let's see if this holds true.

Have you tried getting in contact with them? Sorry I can't be more specific.

Thanks, yes I have.

I called thrice last week and all three insisted that my phone will ship out 10/13 - yeah right!

I also called yesterday and he basically said it will ship out during the window specified.

Hope your g/f s does ship Thursday.

Ordered mine (6+ SG 128GB) on Sept 12 at around 5 am. Was given the October 16-23 shipping date.

It's arriving today... Been a long wait and I hope it was worth it.!!!
 
Third day within the ten day shipping window and the #AT&T FAIL continues. No movement on website nor the 877 number.

Same as you, but @ 3:45AM EDT. I'm expecting movement by the 22nd, won't be surprised if we get pushed back even further. #ATTFAIL :mad:

Ordered the exact same phone as you an hour earlier (6:00 AM CDT). My shipping window has come and gone and I'm stuck in backorder limbo.

I've gone from being frustrated to pissed.

Same, except 877 said processing for me last night. Now waiting for that shipping email.

Of note, I did email the CEO yesterday evening, but I have not gotten a response yet. Not sure if my email had anything to do with it. I doubt it since I've gotten no response.

Doubtful. I remember people with 9/22 order dates were having their phones shipped last week. So it makes sense.

She was very sweet and polite but didn't have any information beyond what is shown on the website.
