FYI.

at&t system went down between the hours of 3:05 - 3:30am.

All orders were backlogged and everything was recalculated sometime around 8am and dates were changed based on the new orders.

CST? I placed my order around 220/230 CST and my order is all dorked up.
 
First post to these forums, as I'm following the frenzy that is this thread. Anyway, I ordered a iPhone 6 64GB Space Grey on 9/12 around 9AM EST (Around 6AM PST).

The email I got, and all associated pages have indicated a 10/13 to 10/31 ship date. I have both the $1 and $45ish holds on my card. However, I called up the 1-866-391-0749 number, input my phone number/zip code, and it said my phone has shipped via USPS.

The prompt then asked me to push one to hear more about the shipment. It said it was shipped via USPS. After some more waiting, it gave me a tracking number which comes up as both FedEx and USPS (I forget the name for this kind of shipping). The tracking number doesn't show any movement for either, but it does show it as a valid number.

People who are seeing no movement might want to give this a try. I'll update if I get any more updates.
 
AT&T doesn't actually "get" the phones. AT&T drop-ships the phones. They are shipped directly from the factory in China so therefore they will have tracking numbers long before Wednesday. It doesn't take 1-2 days to come from China!

This has been my experience for the last three years. In fact, last year I received my phone on launch day before the Att site even showed that my order had shipped

That means it's being shipped smartpost (or whatever they call it)
Basically, it's shipped by Fedex, and then when it gets to your town, it transfers to USPS, and they make the final delivery

That's odd though.. I ordered mine at like 2:50 am EST.. same exact phone, but still no shipment info whatsoever
 
UPS Busy

Just ordered a iPhone Case from Amazon and its being delivered by USPS. I have never seen Prime Stuff being delivered by USPS. Could this be because UPS is busy with other stuff :roll eyes:

I get prime stuff all the time from USPS...particularly small, light stuff.

Amazon will choose the cheapest shipping method every time. Sometimes that's USPS, but only if it is guaranteed to get there in two days.

I thought it was odd as well. I thought it might have been my last phone that I ordered through ATT (HTC One M8), but that's a UPS 2 Day Air so that wasn't it.

It could also be a flub, so I have no idea. Just here for the crazy roller coaster.

I just signed up for UPSmyChoice but nothing is showing on the calender, even though ATT order tracking is showing delivery date of 18 or 17 of Sept.
Any idea?

My CC hold was released and I still haven't been charged yet (the order said tax would be calculated at shipment and charged to my card when it ships).

AT&T hasn't yet updated their online system showing it has actually shipped, I got the tracking info via MyUPS.

But HEY! It left Memphis so it is on the move!!

Hope you don't mind I posted your link to your google doc on the ATT iPhone 6 plus thread, hopefully more members populate it. The expecting shipment stats is consistent with what I've seen so far, including mine.

I pre ordered 2 phones, a silver 16GB 6 and a grey space 64GB 6+. Status from at&t shows the 6 will be delivered 9/19, the 6+ will be shipped 10/13-10/22. I have no tracking for any of the 2, pending charge for both. So I guess at&t has not sent tracking even for ones delivered on 9/19. I still have chance to get them on 9/19 for the plus till I get tracking for the 6 and none for 6+

I have no idea, doesn't really make sense to be honest. Did you get the tracking number?
