AT&T Preorder up

Do these people even know how to run a website?

First time I've (attempted to) pre-order *anything*.

I had to use ATT's site because Apple was down. The process went through fine until the end, where I got a weirdly formatted confirmation page that just had a picture of the phone and the confirmation number with none of the rest filled in. The "Plan" part had "A plan is required to place your order" (but i selected the 2yr plan. dammit). I decided not to try again because I didn't want to deal with multiple accidental orders.

No confirmation email received yet. Check it this morning, and the order number apparently doesn't exist according to their order status page. I'm traveling after Sept (hence the preorder), so now I have to worry that ATT will suddenly recover the order and "pre" order a device for me to be delivered when I'm not home.

Never again. I really shouldn't have bothered. I'll just continue along with my 4s (with busted WIFI) and wait until next year when the reviews are all in and I can just walk into the Apple store and pick one up.

I woke up in the morning with a text from Chase saying, "CHASE Fraud alert" and had me confirm if the purchase I made was me or not. I also got an email from the with the same message so I confirmed there as well that the payment was made by me. All is good right? Wrong!

Just curious, how long before getting the fraud alert messages did AT&T send you their follow-up message saying there was a problem?

My experience was kind of smooth. Could NOT get on Apple's website at all. Had AT&T's open at the same time (started at 3 am EST) when it suddenly popped up active and let me complete an order. Gave me a confirmation number and said I would be getting an email. Email didn't come and didn't come so I tried the Apple Store app which let complete an order after about 40 minutes with some problems - said they couldn't contact my carrier so they were reserving one for me and would notify me when they got through at which time I would have 24-hrs to complete or lose it. So, by about 5:30 am, I had two ordered when the confirm email came from AT&T. Order status was still unclear though and had no ship date. Oh yeah, at 6 am the Apple website finally came up for me.

Anyway, an hour ago I get email from Apple saying that I have until 9 am Sunday to complete my order for delivery by the 19th. Checked AT&T status page and it had also changed. Order was now pending and expected to ship 9/17 or 9/18. Also found out AT&T charged my credit card for the phone. I imagine that will drop off and recharge when they ship. Ordered first in 40 minutes & second in 90.

Gonna stick with the AT&T order and drop the Apple one. BTW - ordered the gold iPhone 6 with 64 GB.

Is anyone who did the "Next" upgrade with AT&T only seeing their monthly Next payment along w/ their Data payment under the Monthly Charge sections on AT&T's confirmation email?

I figured they would add the Voice & Text portion in there too.

I got an email cconfirmation saying "AT&T: Thank you for your order" for all 3 lines that I upgraded. When checking the order status of two of them by wireless number, it says:

64GB Space Gray 6: Preparing to ship Expected 9/17 - 9/18
64GB Gold 6: Preparing to ship Expected 9/23 - 10/1
64GB Silver 6: Order can't be found

How much is your total one time charges showing I'm very curious? It's what I'm trying to sort out on mine it says $106.92 when it should only be my taxes.

My one-time charges is showing $0.00 but my bank card was charged $51.00 this morning which is the tax amount for the phone I ordered

What does it say under total one time charges though?

This stupid rep tried to tell me the 106 dollar charge is for taxes on the 749 phone. No freakin way 7.25 sales tax in my area doesn't add up. I'm trying to cancel right now.

Just received a text from AT&T saying "Congratulations, we have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment"

I hope this is good news because I was on the list of folks that weren't expected to ship until 10/1 - 10/13.

My Chase Fraud alert email came in at 4:27am and the AT&T Order Update email that said my order needed attention came in at 6:56am. Of course I didn't wake up until after 7.

See this is why I keep telling people to just relax lol. Mine says 9/17-9/18 but I still didn't get that email. Says preparing to ship. My girls moved from 9/17 to 9/23. and my sisters hasnt even been confirmed yet.

Mine is at 11/9 to 11/27. And I'm definitely canceling mine whenever I get the chance. My card is charged... Says its preparing to ship.. but I don't see how since I got about 2 months before it ever ships.

Exactly. My order went through at 3:12 EDT and I got the shipping dates of 10/2-10/13. I figured it would be updated but if not, oh well, I think it still beats standing in line. And after all, I will get one at some point. No need to sweat it.

9/19-same as yours,which I have posted since last night when my Order Status was updated.
Expected Ship Date: 09/17/2014 To 09/18/2014.
And fewer are complaining about AT&T than are complaining about the god-almighty site being unavailable for how long again?

Yes, I went with 1 option and it was clearly the best option. How many people are complaining about their order through at&t on the message board? TONS, same way every year. Apple worked for me, I'll have mine on 9/19...When will your phone be delivered again?

Bottom line, you went with At&t, your choice and decision.

Lol, you gotta point with waiting. But I'm just skeptical with AT&T at this point.. charged my card yet there's almost a 2 month period before it ships according to the shipping date. Yet the status shows it's preparing to ship..

It said 14-21 days earlier today which I was okay with. Then I checked about 15 mins ago and now it says 11/9 - 11/27.. you gotta be ****ing kidding me. I'm about to cancel and try and get it Friday morning.

I'm close to doing so. I'm going to talk to a representative tomorrow morning and see if camping is a better option.

and I just checked my account and they took my 51 dollars. How can you take my money approximately two months before you ship my ****ing item? What if I die between now and Thanksgiving? Might as well call the iPhone a Black Friday event.

I think you guys are really paranoid.

If they charged your card it will be shipping soon. The don't charge your card until it's getting ready to ship.

I would hope so, but there's no need for AT&T to give such a ridiculous delivery date.

How do you check the delivery times? Is it in the email because I didnt get one?

I'm a little late responding but you can check your order status on their site using either your phone number or your order number.

On the Order Status page, my expected ship date went from 9/17-9/18 to Pending Confirmation. Hopefully this is progress.

My ship date changed from 11/9-11/27 to 10/13-10/22. Things are looking up!
