AT&T Preorder up

I ordered iPhone 6 plus 64GB Gold around 1:52AM CDT, received email confirmation at 1:54AM. Order status email at 3:19AM CDT.
Delivery date: 10/02/2014 to 10/13/2014
Order number starts with 1018

I just hate ATT, total sh$t
 
Ordered mine this morning around 8:30EST through AT&T.

tried last night had issues with ordering apple. Apparently they can't do Next for people living in nyc for some reason.

Anyway. Got this message:

"Your Apple iPhone 6 (64GB Silver) has been reserved and is expected to arrive on or around 9/19/2014."

Order shows as "pending"

Order number starts 1016
 
I ordered my 128 gb space grey Plus at ~2:08 AM Central time on the AT&T site and by the time I checked out it was showing 14-21 business days estimate. Got my confirmation e-mail at about 4 AM which also shows 14-21 business days. I did NOT have any immediate pending charge on my credit card like others mentioned.

Just now at nearly 9 AM I'm able to actually check the order status on the AT&T website which shows a delivery estimate of 10/13/14 to 10/21/14.

BUT I do have a pending charge now on my CC for the FULL Price $541 and some change.

If I remember correctly from my pre-order on the 5, they put a pending charge for the full price and then it dropped off. Then they didn't actually charge me for a good 3 months or so afterwards.

Do you have the link that shows this break-down? I stumbled upon one earlier and can't find it again now. It was showing a "monthly charge" on my break-down of $25.50, even though my FAN discount is $10 and some change
 
where are you guys seeing a delivery estimate? I only received an order confirmation email. Should I be expecting another email? I check my order status and it tells me this:Status: Pending Expected Ship Date: Pending Confirmation. Anybody know what that means? I placed an order for a 6+ 128GB Space grey. Thanks!

I have a FAN discount and checking the order status through this link provides much more information than the generic order status check on the ATT personal website. This is where it shows me the 10/13 + shipping estimate as well as the $25.50 "monthly charge" that I'm confused about

Preparing for shipment

I received a text this morning that my order for the 6 plus 16gb blk "has been sent to our warehouse for shipment" even though I got the 14-21 business days shipping.

I hope it ships early, order status at AT&T shows it's preparing for shipping as well, still shows 10/02-14 delivery though.
 
I love AT&T as opposed to Apple this time around. Their site took orders early as mine was at 255am ET. Apple site surely didn't. You ordered the most popular phone,hence the date.

awesome thanks! it looks like it just updated to Expected Ship Date: 10/31/2014 To 11/11/2014 . But boo its till novemeber :( I have a monthly charge of 40 too.... I'm hoping the dates are just place holders, i'd rather not have to wait till november.... I see the pending charge for the full amount on my CC, those of you who got a text it was going to shipment, did your charge fully go through? Like its not pending anymore?
 
Ok so I order at 2:55 got in early on AT&T should have known something was up took over an hour to get email saying the order was confirmed...This morning from AT&T Premier I get the you need to contact us your credit information need attention. Well about a half hour later my credit card company call fraud alert and they put a hold on the transaction, and said I would need to contact AT&T to submit the payment again. Well thank a lot Capitol One because of that instead of being near the front of the line in pushed me into the expected ship date of 10/31-11/11!!!

It sounds like other card companies did the same thing. If you order says pending you should look into this. I can't tell you how pissed off I am. What capitol fraud did not see several hundred thousand AT&t, Verizon etc order going through!
 
I too ordered the 64GB Gold from the AT&T website -- my order was COMPLETED before the presale was even to start (1:58 AM) and my order status is now BACKORDERED with a shipping date of 10/31 - 11/11. I was probably one of the very first to get through and I won't have a phone for 2 months. Total bs.

If you are a new AT&T customer and wanted to enroll in the NExt program, the AT&T site was the only way you could do it. The Apple site only allows new customers on AT&T to enroll in a 2 year contract.

My brother has had a Capital One credit card for probably 10 years now and nearly without fail, EVERY SINGLE large purchase (over two hundred bucks or so) he's ever tried to make with it gets denied at the point of sale and he has to then call them and bicker with them or they call him with a fraud alert. That would drive me crazy. What's the point of having a CC if you can't even properly use it? I have seen some mentions of Chase cards doing the same thing on the iPhone pre-orders but more often than not I've seen Capital One mentioned. I wonder what their deal is

For a lot of us, myself included, the Apple site was down for hours and hours. I checked as late as 3:30 AM central time and the Apple site was still down. That's with about 5 browser windows open all refreshing constantly.

Sounds like the thing to do was use the App store app, but for people like me who pre-emptively sold their old iPhones to get top dollar, we had no iDevice on which to use the app
 
iPhone 6s look to come a lot sooner than the iPhone 6 Pluses. Either Apple anticipated a lot of people going for the iPhone 6 over the iPhone 6 Plus, or it's a marketing strategy who know.
 
I got my confirmation at 3:05EST, order begin with #1014 via AT&T Premier for iPhone 6+ 64GB in Space Grey. When I ordered I didn't have a date for delivery, now it's 10/13 - /10/22. Of course. I'll be on vacation from the 18-22nd and I'm hoping that this date moves up.

Yea that has happened to me in the past. I called AmEx right after did my order to make sure they put a note on my account to accept the charge.

Ok, if you wanted one launch day why not wait in line?
 
I placed my order last night for the iPhone 6 Plus (contract free) through AT&T's website. It was successfully processing last night so I went to bed thinking everything went through and it will all be fine. Wrong!

I woke up in the morning with a text from Chase saying, "CHASE Fraud alert" and had me confirm if the purchase I made was me or not. I also got an email from the with the same message so I confirmed there as well that the payment was made by me. All is good right? Wrong!

AT&T order status is saying that the order was declined and that I needed to update my payment information as soon as possible or the order will get canceled. I resubmitted my billing information and now it is in processing again. Only issue is now the phone is saying it is backordered and no longer has the 2-3 week shipping estimate.

What the hell Chase? I never had them block a big purchase before. If I would have know it might get blocked I would have called them beforehand and alerted them to an upcoming large purchase.

Update: The backorder status has now changed to October 31-November 11 shipping period. Ugh what was once 2-3 week is now 2-3 months.

Well I can't speak for other people but I am very busy and have full-time M-F job and don't care enough to take a day off of work to stand in line all day for a phone. If I take a day off work, it won't be wasted standing in a line that's for sure. I love my iPhone(s) but not that much. iPhone(s) are fairly low on my personal pecking order in terms of what I would want to spend a day off on.

While it's annoying I may not receive my phone on the 19th it's not the end of the world for me like it is for some people here.

LOL, it did? I guess my pre-order, that will be delivered on 9/19, is just my imagination playing tricks on me...

Apple site was down/having issues/slow, people rushed to carrier site to order than complain because they are not getting on launch day. Classic!

Fair enough. My comment was more targeted at people who are complaining that they have to wait a whole 21 days to get the phone.
