I live in New York and have used my phone in the city without any problems. I honestly have no idea what people are talking about.

This is kind of interesting. A couple weeks ago when people's upgrade eligibility was moved up to June 21 I checked mine....it said I wouldn't be eligible until November. It was the same a few days ago when I checked it. Today, it says i'm eligible now for upgrade pricing.

Same here. I checked last week and my upgrade wasn't up until October for both my lines and now the iPhone is eligible for upgrade.
