AT&T Says iPhone 4 to Be Initially Available Only in Black?

So not going to pre-order or buy black. Will wait for white.
Who's with me to hold back on buying to wait till white is released? Wonder what impact this will have on pre-sales? I think it's a bad move by Apple. All their spy photo's etc. were ALL WHITE! WTF

I wonder if they are going to have White only available for purchase IN STORE on launch day? Is that their strategy to get people to CAMP OUT!?!? Lucky for me there is an AT&T, Walmart and Radio shack within 100 yards of each other! Best Buy is 10 min away.
I will probably take a morning off from work get up early and try to get white day of if that looks to be the plan.

Hopefully they'll have it launch day in store, this is total BS!
I'm holding out for a white one. I can wait a few more weeks as I'm sure that's all it will be.
So all you chicks and sissified men will have to get your white iPhones directly from Apple.

Best Buy told me they would have white on release day and let me pre-order white. I didn't even think about it until they asked what color.
Just to be safe, I ordered both a white and a black 32GB. I mean, I'll obviously use both $50 gift cards, regardless.
Worst case scenario... I'll still have the black... but several of them said they heard rumors about white not being available but they were told they'd have it. It was in their system and it's on my receipt... so we'll see.. nothing for me to lose. Best case scenario, I'll be able to decide in person which color I like better.

I'm so pissed that Apple touted both white & black models at the WWDC and their website then completely dropped the availability of the white model the second the iPhone 4 became available for order.
If it's not available, fine - just apologize for the lack of communication and explain WHY it isn't available. Apple is supposed to have superior customer service & public relations which makes this fiasco all the more bizarre...

I actually went to best buy also and preordered a white 16g. They told me they were doing both and didn't know that others where only doing the black. It's obvious now that they just messed up. Now I'm wondering if best buy will Give us anything for the inconvience. I'm still going to hold out for the white iPhone.
