You got it bub! Scrub move that was sold as great feature.
The feature is beneficial to people on limited data plans since they will burn through less data. It is also good for someone that is using the hotspot feature for online gaming or other bandwidth demanding tasks while simultaneously streaming since the video stream will take less bandwidth which will benefit the computing experience. Since AT&T can potentially slow down unlimited data customers that exceed 22 GB during times of congestion this stream saver can slow that rate of data usage while streaming which would benefit such customers since they will not exceed the guaranteed top speed data limit of 22 GB as fast.

Anyway, just to update....I chatted with ATT online customer service. 4 different agents...lol. Each said there shouldnt there shouldn’t be a fee for a defective phone. However, none of them could authorize a phone shipment, it seems. The 2nd CSR gave me a number for their “Best Support”. You want to know who that number connected to? APPLE...lol. The final person I talked with was Tech Support and that person put notes on the account so my daughter can go to the store where she is at, and exchange the phone without the fee. We will see if the store gives her grief.

Yes...it is only $45, but it’s the principle of the whole thing.
If you or your daughter still have trouble with with them you can file a complaint with the FCC at their complaint center below.

Remember to select the phone service option.
