I have nothing but good things to say about AT&T. Year after year I buy the latest iPhones and others, my unlimited data plans are never challenged, and no matter if it's an iPad or Galaxy Tab, they've always given me unlimited data. Even further proof of their excellent service is the extra cash credit they've issued for the two times they've made a mistake on my bill. Leaving me with extra funds each time.

Say what?!?!

When I called Apple they assured me that AT&T would allow me to transfer my grandfathered unlimited plan to a new ipad2, but AT&T did not agree. They told me I was out of luck and would have to buy one of the other plans! I'm so confused! I am currently still with the original iPad.

Put the sim from your old ipad in the new one and it should work fine.

If you have and continue to be current on your present AT&T unlimited Ipad dat a plan, meaning you have not missed one single month of payments since you started then yes you are allowed to transfer this over to AT&T IPAD 2. Ask to speak to a supervisor if the lower level support says no.

If you missed a payment or elected not to have your data plan at anytime from the first day you got the plan till now then you would not be allowed to repurchase your unlimited Ipad data plan. The moment you declined to pay is the moment the plan terminated.

Put the sim from your old ipad in the new one and it should work fine.

Cmaier is spot on with the above tip!!!
