I was just wondering if anyone has used this and what their experience was like?

I'm looking to sell my 3G to offset the cost of a new 4G, and it doesn't look like I'd get anymore on eBay than I would from this program, ~$200-250.

http://att.tradeups.com/

I did a search, but typing in "trade" to search bar gave over 1000 results😱

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have never heard of it. I'm half tempted to use it just to avoid the hassle of dealing with a 3P sale.

Nice find and if it's been posted I've missed it myself.

I don't know if my 3G would qualify for "excellent" condition, but it'd probably qualify for good. There is one thin scratch about an inch long on the back, otherwise....perfect working condition.

I was worried about it being a scam as well. I figured I'd go into an AT&T store to verify it validity. But it'd be nice to get input from someone on the forum if they've successfully used it.

Would be a good idea tho just don't see any real links to AT&T.

$300 for 32GB Black 3GS? Sorta scam, eBay and craigslist can let you sell for $350 and you get bidders that may go over.

go ebay, just sold my used iPhone 3G 8GB- Black for 215$ with shipping! just made my money for the new iPhone 4 16gb!! i'd put it on ebay quick if you have another phone you can use till the 24th!:apple:

9% + 2 dollars. So that leaves $13 difference. Considering you wouldn't have to jailbreak/unlock it or deal with any other problems from eBay, the $13 is worth it.

That may be so.... or you have craigslist. Thing is, $300 for a 32GB phone is a bit too light. although these may drop in price soon.

I've heard most of these cash for iphones companies get you to ship, then retract the offer & lowball you when they have your phone.

That is true. Especially the ones that have offers that are surprisingly high. There's no way these companies should be offering the same or more then you could sell privately or on eBay. I recommend BuyMyTronics.com though. Offers aren't too great but they have always given me what they quoted and it was a quick and easy transaction. However, they only offer 275 for my excellent condition 32gb 3gs, so I'll probably put in the effort for eBay or craigslist.
