I signed up the day DirecTVNow launched. After numerous price hikes, I finally dropped it in 2019. I've been doing just fine without it and have no intention of touching this or any other AT&T product again.

HEIL DISNEY!

Disney+ is a ripoff. The ESPN+ is garbage and you won't be able to watch much as far as NFL and other sports, at least not live. And they purposely make that info difficult to understand. NatGeo is very limited too. Disney is okay if you have kids are don't mind waiting for several years to view their latest movies because those are still contracted out to Netflix and other services. Pixar is okay, but every Pixar movie that I wanted to watch has already been watched long before Disney+ was here. I tried, got frustrated very quickly, got told by ESPN and Disney CS that all I could stream live was ESPN+, which contrary to its name is a minus and does not include the three main ESPN channels. It was so easy to cancel that piece of mouse poop in a heart beat, and I put out plenty of mouse traps in case Mickey tries to come back into my house!

Oh my goodness. Now every time I call customer service for a problem with my cell phone service, they're going to be pitching this.

We have DirecTV and yes, costs are pretty high, compared to other choices. BUT, I have not found a good streaming service that has a decent DVR function! I tried YouTube TV and while the service was good, their DVR service was crazy how it worked! I wonder how this new AT&T cloud DVR works?

I use FuboTV and love their DVR. Zero issues with the service.

If it’s anything like AT&T TV Now, the DVR will be horrible.

I hate AT&T but their Gigapower internet has been insanely good for me. I pay for 1 Gbps up/down and typically pull about 940/930. If their tv was anywhere near as reliable, I'd give it a shot. I had the old DirectTV Now (or whatever it was called) and it buffered all the time, even on my gigabit internet. Doubt I'd give them another try at this point.

Same here. We only have two options - AT&T and Spectrum. I liked Spectrum in principle (no contracts, great customer service in our area), but their infrastructure was just too old and we were having too many issues. AT&T's 1Gbps internet has been phenomenal... but I still feel bad using them as I can't stand their sneaky marketing practices (like this AT&T TV deal).

I've had Cox cable, DTV, DTV Now, PS Vue and now YouTube TV which is the best Allows up to 5 concurrent streams in you house has all local network affiliates, unlimited DVR and is only $49.95. I have Cox's Premium Preferred internet and NEVER have buffering issues.

YouTube TV offers *3* live streams. 5 users that can maintain their own Cloud DVR list and personalized Home Screen. Hulu Live has the best option there if multiple screens is of importance... unlimited stream add-on there.

Let's review:
  1. Android box - no thanks
  2. Google Assistant - no thanks
Remember, with Android and Google in the mix, you're the product, not the customer.

"Our customers told us what they want from their TV service and we built AT&T TV around that," said Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO of AT&T Consumer......

Ha Ha.
No one asked for the ridiculous pricing. Guess AT&T thinks can add the words ‘streaming service’ and be something different than who they are.

Our customers told us what they want from their TV service and we built AT&T TV around that," said Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO of AT&T Consumer. "AT&T TV is live TV made easy and when you add AT&T TV to our amazing 1 gigabit AT&T Internet you can't go wrong.

$50/mo, activation fee, early termination fee, prices more than double after contract period.

Sorry ATT, this is NOT what cord cutter customers want. I think the CEO is confusing content owners as their "customers."

It's good to know that AT&T still doesn't have a clue what they're doing further proving that taking my business and leaving that dumpster fire of a company was the right move.

It's crazy how opposite exeriences happen depending on area. I had AT&T Gigapower and it was the worst Internet of all time. They must have been at my house 6 different times, always to tell me my wiring and line are "perfect" and there are zero issues. I told them it has to be the station outside my house and it was like an act of God for engineering to come look at the central station. "Not enough people complain" for them to come do it.

They told me they don't guarantee WiFi and only guaranteed hard wired connection, which I still had issues with in the testing I did even while connected with a network cable.

I 100% know I had a problem because in timed games like Chess, I was losing time every move because of the intermittent issue and lag. I also did tracert and ping tests and would constantly get time outs and long latency. I showed them this and I might as well have been speaking Greek.

I always tested good internet speeds, but my issue was latency and the connection dropping. Replaced my equipment multiple times too.

I switched to Spectrum and only have 400mbps down now, but consistently get 500mbps and it is PERFECT. Consistent, no lag, and my latency is cut in half. I'm also paying $39.99/month with Spectrum versus $70/month with ATT.

Poor AT&T, they are so lost on upper management/leadership. I worked on the DTV Now app design and the folks there are very capable but because it is such a big corporation filled with bureaucracy, no wonder they lose sight of what it is a must for consumers. This new product is a DOA.

Thank you for correcting this.

It's like a Frankenstein's monster of television service - find all the worst parts of competing services and combine them into one. Contracts? High-prices and price increases? Set-top boxes? A dozen headaches, one great service.

The only way AT&T will sell this garbage is by pressuring their sales reps to be shady & get creative to push this on the customer. Beware, this product is no better than any other at&t service & is flustered with commercials. No one wants a contract, tv ads or doubling prices you’re locked into. Let’s help AT&T sunset this product by not buying it.. There’s nothing worth paying for on their lineup anyway.

It’s things like this that made me happy I switched to OTA TV. I already have Netflix (via T-Mobile) Disney+, Prime, Apple TV+ (for 1yr) Hulu and can access all the other network apps via shared login. That’s more than enough entertainment to sort through.
