Connection?

Hi all

My mate works for a well know high street retailer, who sells iPods. He notice that on his stock list there has been two new iPods added. iPod touch 8Gb V2 and a 16Gb V2 model. This could be a small connection to the upcoming new iPhones?

This is the kind of thing that gets the community angry though. Would apple pull something like this? Only way is if they mention the upcoming version when they release the current version with 3G.

well than there is no point to discontinue this model ... they worked n design, spent a $3it of load money so they will upgraded it and for those who don't really care about 3g like me... they will introduce new model with a gps .. to make more money and new wave of crazy lines.... if they wont introduce new model, a lot of people wont upgrade it .... just my 2 cent

Someone on your network has their computer visible.

To be more precise someone on your network has their iTunes library shared (and has called it deathbox). If you're not on a shared network, or have your wireless access point open (ie: no password set) then someone is "stealing" your bandwidth. If your access point is not shared, one of your roommates has their iTunes shared.

Boy do Apple know how to create DRAMA this is great.

...not to be a conspiracy theorist, but if this was planned to coincide on the same day as rim announced their new phone, it was a brilliant move by apple's 'stealth marketing'...at the moment, all the hype is focused on apple when it should be rim's day in the spotlight...

They've got a whole host of accessories for the 'iPhone Black'....
They could just be referring to the colour of the accessory, of course

Edit: Thanks work computer with messed up contrast. Didn't see that.

Irrelevant. They are simply stating that the color of the accessory is Black.

"O Play iPhone iPod music and car kit including Bluetooth Adaptor Black"
"Carphone Warehouse iPhone Suction Holder Black"

could have probably used some punctuation in there to differentiate. Crazy Brits.

How do you exactly get to the place of the AT&T wireless website where you can choose between iphone and iphone black. I've been looking but haven't found anything..

Weird.
EDIT:

I apologize for the random question, but can anyone tell me wtf this is >>

<< ?

Also, how can I get rid of it?

I had this one time, it means that a shared computer is attached to your network. Not sure if this means external (hacked) or something internal to your network is registering as a Computer.

I was restoring Mac at the time so I never figured out how to get rid of it.

Agreed, but the uproar caused by doing this in two separate time periods without letting the public know what also will be coming in a few weeks is a bad move and I doubt Apple will do that. I agree though that it is still likely that there will be two versions, but if so they will be released together or we will be notified that there will be two versions.

And all the money spent on design isn't wasted, its gonna largely remain the same design. Just because its updated doesn't mean all effort it took to get to the model before it was a waste.

you log into your account and choose "this is not my device" and it will bring you to the option of choosing the manufacturer, choose apple and then it will bring up Iphone and Iphone black

Not likely

I must admit I'm very happy with my iPhone as it is, but I'd like to have a better browsing experience when I'm not connected to WiFi, could anyone tell me if there is a new faster iPhone coming out soon, perhaps using the 3G network?

Not likely, I have not heard anything about it, but if they did it would make Safari snappier.
