AT&T's website references an unreleased iPad Pro model with an M5 chip, but it is unclear if it is an accidental leak, or simply a premature SEO play.

Here is how the HTML title for the iPad page on AT&T's website appears in Google search results:
Shop Apple iPad Tablets: iPad Pro M5 Pre-Order Soon
Here is a screenshot of the Google result:

The text might be changed quickly, now that it has received attention.

There are no product listings for an iPad Pro with an M5 chip on AT&T's online store, so this is ultimately not a substantial discovery. However, in line with rumors, it could signal that Apple is set to announce the next iPad Pro models soon.

Apple is expected to update the iPad Pro with an M5 chip as early as this month, and the entire device already leaked in two early unboxing videos out of Russia. It was also rumored that the device would be equipped with two front cameras, but there was no visible evidence of this change in the unboxing videos, so we shall see.

Last year, the iPad Pro was updated with an OLED display and a thinner design, but no major design changes are expected for the next models.

Awesome. I sold my M4 when I realized I made a mistake with the standard models with only 8gb of memory. I couldn't open or save larger files which made it unusable for me. Opting for the terabyte storage option for the additional memory this time around. 22GB will be fine, hopefully it's more.

There were rumors in teardowns that all the iPad Pro models really had 12GB, but locked down 4.

Lesson learned.
If anyone is trying to save money and thinking of getting an 8 gb M4 iPad Pro after this one is released, I say just get a basic iPad or iPad Air. With only 8GB RAM, the M4 and M5 do not add anything to iPad experience, they are just a vastly more expensive base iPads.

It might just be 16gb for all we know

Yeah, Apple is really stingy with memory and storage space for the price.

Meanwhile, the other complains of the lack of software that makes use of the computing power in the pro iPads. 🙃

These things are so lopsided. Incredibly powerful now with a little toy OS made for phones basically, or Gameboy type devices. They tart it up a bit.

Sour grapes cuz they don't activate hypervisor. Probably never will.

Will Tim Apple try to sue AT&T out of existence over the leak like he is Jon Prosser?
I really hope this is just rage-bait. There is absolutely no way, that you can think those two things are even remotely the same. Have you read the Complaint against Prosser - which he has defaulted on by refusing to appear before Court? Which means, everything in the Complaint is deemed true.

Legally "deemed true" doesn't mean it's actually true. MacRumours' coverage of the alleged default is inconsistent--it implies he's in default, but also says his deadline to respond to the lawsuit was extended through October. 17, which implies he is not in default.

There is a better chance that this is someone, or more possibly some algorithm/ai, in marketing at AT&T picking up on an uptick in “iPad Pro M5” searches on Google trends and trying to take advantage for SEO purposes by creating a bs landing page vs. an actual leak.

Maybe I’ll upgrade next time when the M6 comes out on the 2nm process. My M1 iPad Pro is still serviceable. iPadOS 26 has been the biggest performance hit so far but I think overall it’s just kinda buggy still. Battery life falling off more and I’m about ready to go back to the smaller form factor at 11” from 12.9”. Just can’t see much reason why an M5 is worth the upgrade when the new architecture is a year away.

I think I will hold out for one more cycle before updating from my 6th gen iPad Pro, especially because I can’t give up my Smart Keyboard Folio even though Apple has given up on it.

What does the iPad Pro need an m5 for exactly, the m1 is still over kill. No one is using any app that needs an m5 for an ipad

M1 mini led 12.9 is still fine, I like the thinner design so the best thing about the new iPad Pro is the m4 one will become cheaper

Think it will launch around the end of October. Will be a minor update with chip upgrade. Don't know whether there will be an Apple event.
