I was wondering if this was just my phone but my phone 3 minutes and 58 seconds off! Thats just ridiculous!

ps: I realize that you can change the time in the settings

ATT Ok, but iPhone 8 seconds slow.

My iPhone is 9 seconds slow here in Tucson. But my wife's non iPhone
is right on the money! She's ATT also.

Everyone should also remember that if you're checking the time over the internet it's liable to be off by a few seconds just due to servers and routers and whatnot.

I wouldn't take anything as 'wrong' unless it's more than 10 seconds off.

I just checked mine against both of the atomic clocks in my house (another watch/time geek here), and AT&T was only behind by about 1.5 seconds. I can live with that. :p

I didn't even think about the difference between GSM and CDMA for the clock, because I'm so used to my Verizon phones being spot on. I'm glad it was so close, because I don't need another thing to obsess over. ;)

I'm in Long Beach, BTW.

2G time Slow.

Hello,

Whenever I am on Edge (2G) my clock is 3 or so minutes slow. On 3G, it is only 1.5 or so seconds slow. This really confused me during school today and I nearly missed my train. Luckily my watch was right.

I'm kind of a watch geek and noticed that AT&T's time displayed on my iPhone is about 00:01:40 (1 min 40 secs) behind my atomic watch. You can verify this your self at the time.gov web site. My Verizon phone was almost spot on. I don't know if this varies area to area or if it is nation wide. No big deal but made me go hmmm.

Yup, I noticed this too. I'm in NYC and it's always around a minute slower.

A good time site compensates for the delay by testing.

For example, http://www.time.gov often shows that its display is within 0.2 seconds.

While this thread is incredibly old, I'm only a whopping .5 seconds behind in NYC.

My phone is half a second behind. On time.gov it'll turn --:--:17 then my phone will turn --:--:17 time.gov turns --:--:18 my phone turns --:--:18 and so on. :)

Oh! I'm in Las Vegas, NV if that matters.
