Lol it’s just some paranoid old lady. She doesn’t have any research backing her worries at all. She just THINKS the new towers will cause cancer and cause housing prices to plummet. Did you read her interview? It’s borderline comical. It reads like satire. She’s letting her imagination run wild instead of investigating her concerns.
What do you want? People still believe microwave ovens give you cancer.

There are actually some risks to many new technologies...but I'll let you do your own research.

Actually this old lady knows what she's talking about and is standing up for what she believes in rather than bending over for the big companies for faster porn.

This is not how quantum entanglement works.
My understanding is that if you entangle a particle with another particle and transport that particle to a new location, it will teleport data to that location, and that scientists have already confirmed this. This could be used to entangle a future iPhone with your carrier using a quantum sim card, which could contain the entangled particle, and allow you to swap them. You should also look into some interesting research the Chinese have done with Direct Counterfactual Quantum Communication.

I live in Raleigh and love my AT&T coverage here. I have AT&T fiber in home unlimited for $80 and get insane speeds. Not sure the purpose of this hotspot....... $70 for 15g? Crazy

Update.... Checked my usage.... Last month used 442 gig lol

I'm pretty sure it's more complicated than that. Measurement breaks the entanglement and without measurement you have no information. Also as far as I see it has not been verified by other scientists.

Sorry, but no. First of all the energy is not high enough. Second even if you were standing by the antenna you would get a headache and run away before any real damage occurred.

Let’s see, my home wifi gets 180 Mbps down. Verizon LTE usually gives me between 15 and 50 down.

I see no difference in speed between 20 and 150 Mbps down, let alone 180 down.

What real world benefit is 5G supposed to provide?
[doublepost=1545177843][/doublepost]
How fast is this? Like if I'm on 5g and do a speedtest what am I realistically gonna get?
This is my question too—wifi and LTE are fast enough—-how is 5G going to blow my mind?

high EMF's and the under-researched effects of them on living organisms are going to be a goldmine for pharma companies in the near future. 5G will be the 2nd wave of population control after the failed experiment of anthropogenic climate change hysteria.

I'm not really convinced that 5G speeds server any purpose for what most people do. 4G LTE handles everything just fine, why do I need substantially faster speed? Email? No. Web browsing? No. Streaming music and movies? Nope. None of these benefit from faster than LTE speeds. And if the carriers are only going to dole out their data in small buckets for high prices, there goes any excitement I might have about 5G...
Good point. For the most part, Verizon LTE is more than adequate. I think like most things technology wise these days, it seems like we’re approaching diminishing returns in speed. You can only open apps so fast, etc.

Corporate profits over public health.
Cell towers on every block. Disgraceful

A homeowner who says “This will cause cancer.” is an assumption and not a basis to not deploy 5G gear across the USA.

I would be more worried about being out in the sun too long than standing near a cell site.
Then you are truly clueless

Things always seem to work better on the floor where you are than spread out like in reality Think long range.

More cells sites could be needed than 4G LTE

This UI looks like iOS....

I am with this guy. No amount of claiming this will change my world convinces me. Can any of these ultra high-paid marketing gurus please explain to me what I am missing? Makes me mad thinking those crooks will push this without any real reason.

The video by OP seems to be using the network for low-latency wireless connections (for a hologram or VR? Idk the video did not even make much sense). Is standard wifi really THAT bad? - If so shouldnt this tech be more considered a Wi-fi killer than anything?

I think these companies are just trying to slam this down our throats & they think we are stupid enough to buy it without question. Kind of an insulting idea if you ask me.

Worse yet, isnt this just going to take resources away from making 4g better?

As per usual, NYC will miss out for years. Largest density of population in the USA, but way too expensive to roll out along with all the landlords being paid off by Spectrum (TimeWarner) now Charter to not allow other competition. I can't even get Verizon FIOS in Hells Kitchen, or RCN, AT&T, nothing except Spectrum (even though the MidTown hospital that was recently renovated which is directly across my street gets FIOS).

Totally corrupt, has been for many many years.

We are forced to use Spectrum and have to pay a ridiculous premium which sucks! ie: 400 down, 20 up for $90 per month. Add TV, comes to $138 before tax. If you want 1Gig down / 35 Mbit/s Up with Spectrum, this offer will cost you $200 to install and cost you $120 a month before tax just for data, No TV. Disgusting. Yes, the maximum upload speed with Spectrum is 35 Mbit/s! Not 1Gig like FIOS etc.

Here is Charters Rate Card. Make sure you type in a NYC Zip code. https://www.spectrum.com/browse/content/ratecard.html

In Australia, we have a thing called the ACCC. https://www.accc.gov.au which is designed to protect consumers from anti competitive behaviour.

Can't wait for 5G to roll out so I can say F*** YOU Charter!

but when will get cell service at my house even 3g?

If you don't currently have 3g its most likely that you will never get 5G in your lifetime. I'm serious. The range of 5G is so short it requires a ton of radios to be installed and if they haven't even bothered to get your area on 3G....
