All the fun arcade games were 2 player games. If the iCade had one more arcade stick for 2 player gaming (and also usable for dual analog shooters like NOVA2, Modern Combat 2, and Nazi Zombies), it would be perfect.

Leaving out a second arcade stick was a mistake. You can't even play 2 player pong without a second stick.

The App is great and the games are all fun from an era gone bye. I'm glad to see them released. Astroids was one of my favorites.

Looks like the developer put a lot of thought into the touch controls, rather than just slap on a standard touch d-pad design for each game. Good job!

a shame most of the screen is taken up by the controls. They could've done a better job minimizing those in the UI to provide more screen for the game content.

The thing is, all these games are available for free online for your mac. I suppose if you want to play them on your ipad or phone that's one thing. If that doesn't matter, you can get your nostalgia for free. Same goes for NES, Coleco, Super NES, and Genesis emulators.

Want the wire frame Star Wars game......

They may be available for free, but that doesn't really mean they are available legally. :)

I'm looking forward to trying this out when I get home tonight. I won't pay $15 for the whole kit, but there are a couple of 99-cent packs that I wouldn't mind trying out.

I have fond memories of playing Atari 2600 with my cousins at my grandparents' house when I was little. I was late to the game buying a 2600 of my own (I got mine when NES was all the rage) but I still loved it and was very saddened when I found out my parents had sold my entire Atari kit, including dozens of games, at a garage sale for a measly $5!

I hope they continue to add games. There are a few that I enjoyed that I don't see on the list.

Screw iCade

The heck with the iCade we have HDMI out now. I say lets build a full size cabinet. (who am I kidding I bet 10 people have already started build their's already)

Best sit in arcade game ever !!!!

I bought the full package.
I'm too much of an old school Atari geek.

My 2 issues have been mentioned.

The controls on the touch screen are very frustrating.
You just can't have the precision you need in some of those games.
The arcade version of Asteroids is spot on but try flying around the rocks like you could do with a joystick and thrust button.

I'm guessing the iCade will help solve that problem but it might come with another.

The screen real estate taken up by the control section.
I want to play a full iPad screen of Adventure but it basically plays in a window.
That window isn't necessary with the iCade but will they update the app?
I doubt it.

U act like we dont know they are crap. We all know what Atari is guy. U act like u are reviewing games for the latest playstation or something. Its Atari. We understand that.

You act like "U" is a word. It's not.
(Now get off my lawn!)

Got to convince some coworkers to buy this so I can try out multiplayer Warlords.

That was such an awesome game. Basically, multiplayer breakout against each other. Still, it's not the same without the paddle controller. Joysticks, multi-touch, game pads, etc. just aren't as responsive.

Which is why a working one in good condition goes for over £6000. The best arcade game ever.

Wow, that is completely awesome! Now we need the Colecovision emulator and games, and Namco and Nintendo packs...

It shows you how amazing these games were that they can still make money on them over 30 years later.
