Exactly my point. If you were "only" 6 dB away from having a "perfect signal", then you are obviously very close to the origin of that signal (i.e. the microcell). Again, as I comically stated earlier, I could go stand 100 yards away from a cell phone tower and encase my phone in darn near anything and still have a great signal. That's like Apple having an AT&T cell tower on their campus and stating "gosh...we had no signal problems with the iPhone 4". Of course not. You're within spitting distance of the source of the microwaves. The most meaningful reviews are going to come from paying customers using this thing out on the cellular network at various distances from those towers, and most of those people don't use microcells.

I have nothing to do with atomic, plain and simple. Like I said, the owner lives in Florida, I live in Kansas. Give me a break, you try to do someone a favor and all the sudden your tied in with the company. I own my own business, they just asked for help so I helped, its really is that simple.

If Atomic wants credibility, they will submit samples to GearDiary for review & testing.

When you post as much as you have, and with the "enthusiasm" you do, yes, it appears you have something to gain (tied in with the company, if you will). Heck, not more than a few minutes ago, you posted a snide remark AGAIN to the owner of Alumacase in the thread dealing with his case. Those are the things that's making it look like you could possibly have something to do with Atomic. How do you know how good the Alumacase is to be posting remarks about how the Atomic is superior? Not one of the Alumacases have been shipped yet. If you're all about "fair" reviews, why not at least wait until both the Alumacase and Atomic (and hell, throw the Element and the other Element copy..can't remember the name) can all be tested by one reviewer, side by side?

Explain it? You're close to the signal source with either case. The results are going to be better than that of those taken further away from a tower/microcell (which will be more like real world results). You're saturated in signal being close to the source. This has been proven even in the Vapor thread. Using the case in an area of strong signal doesn't show the design flaws of the Vapor as much as using it in an area of weaker signal.
This is what we need. ALL of the aluminum bumper clones side by side, tested by one reviewer (or multiple reviewers, as long as they are all testing all the cases in the same location under identical circumstances). And if Atomic's, Alumacase's, or Element's 4th case revision (or whatever number they are on now) case is the "best", it'll show through in the reviews.
nolesfan best advice you got was. You got a case you gave them a review as you promised. Did your job earned you fee monetary or not. The more you go on from here on the more you harm your credibility as well as theirs. I am not trying to be rude mean or anything else. I am just stating the facts. let the thread take it's own course. the more people that feel you have a agenda the less likely people are going to take this thread serious.

Atomic, please fire nolesfan, he is doing a horrible PR job for your company. Even if he isn't a pay employee you could of give sample out to proffesional reviewer that can make a non bias review even when the product they receive is free (ie, larrygreenberg) who is about to point out pro AND cons without sounding like a over zealous obnoxiously fan of your company.
Still waiting for more review before making up my mind. Other than the poor PR attempt, the case looks good so far

Why would you personally attack me for no reason. This thread wasnt started by me, I just said that I had the cases and YOU guys asked ME for my review and impressions. So I give them to you and now my results are inaccurate and I'm a atomic employee. I was just giving you guys what you asked for. I would hate to see anymore element type cases hit the market because I got burned by them too. So I would not give false info about this product, like I said I truly have nothing to gain from the sales of these cases.

sorry if you feel offended but personnally i just don't think you did a very fair review (how about getting signal result with different area before proclaiming that it has absolutely NO signal issue). And your attacks on other similiar case manaufacture plus shameless plug for atomic whenever you can just make ME feel you are somehow related to Atomic. Atomic told some of the forum member to watch out for your review so my guess that they were expecting some type of positive review from you and also that they monitor this board. I just want to offer them my view as a potential customer that their little PR stunt didn't quite work out the way they planned.
If you were really the non bias reviewer that you claim to be you should be able to take criticism from people who read your review and respond to possible request for further testing.
Just my 2 cent sorry if i offended you, i know you love Atomic and you believe in their products but what you are doing is not helping Atomic at all. If atomic is related to you somehow i just feel they should thank you for you effort and tell you its enough, AND send cases of to other reputable and independant reviewer. Thats all. What i assume about you may of may not be right but that what you come off being to me and i'm sure i'm not alone in thinking this way
P.S I have meet many people hawking products on various forum for company they claim not to be related to and they act very similiar to you. No saying you are but there are reasons why people thinking you are connected to Atomic in some way.
Well, Like i said before. I did give a very accurate review and was unbiased. When I first got the cases they were not performing as well as they are now. My father and I did some research and testing and finally came up with a solution that worked. The phone has been tested in more places than just my home, but for me to get ANY signal I have to drive about 20 miles 1 way and to get to a good 5 bar 3G location I have to drive about 45 miles 1 way. So like I said, the phone has been tested. It performs as it should in very terrible coverage area's. The GPS is accurate and I can not attest to the 3G performance because I have not taken the case that far yet because at this point I really don't think it would do any good. I tested it again tonight in a 2 bar location and the results were the same as they were at my home. The phone only lost 5-8 db's with the case on apposed to being naked. When I tell you that I am in no way tied to Atomic, that is the 100 percent truth. Like I said, the cases were shipped from Florida and I live In Kansas. I have no siblings and my father has no siblings and my mother has 1 sister who lives in Wichita, Kansas. So when I spoke with Atomic about their cases, I asked them some very technical questions. I then told him my occupation as well as my fathers. He asked me to test out a few cases and see what I thought because he said some things needed to be improved. I agreed to help him out and he sent me the cases. I took 1 case to work, my father took the other and when we got home later that night we came up with 2 different solutions to some of the problems the case was having. My father tried his first on the blue and black case and the problems were still there. I then put the case I had been working on which was the green and black case on the phone and tested it and it worked. So then we did the exact same thing to the blue and black case and then it started working correctly also. So to me, this was more of a challenge than anything. I spent almost 9 years in school learning about these things and my father has been an electrical engineer for around 30 years now. I tried the Vapor and probably could have got it working also but their customer service was so terrible that it was not worth my time because at that point I did not even want a case with their name on the side on my phone so I sold it to a gentleman on this forum and was very upfront with him about the problems I was experiencing with it and even sold it for what I had in it when they were bringing 250 plus on ebay. But I loved the cases looks so when I first saw the atomic case I shot them an email and it started from there and here we are today. I know very little about the background of this company but I do know that he has been developing this case for just as long as Element, he just got beat to the punch. Now I have explained myself and this situation in great detail, and I hope you all believe me because everything I said was 100 percent truthful. I am sorry if it seemed like I was pushing the case but to be honest I was very happy that they were working so good and they looked so good and they truly have great customer service. They stand behind the case, the won't just sell it to you and never speak to you again. I have spoken to the owner of atomic everyday since the day I first sent him the email including today. I just feel like Element burned so many of us with their case that now this case has come along and I tried to give you guys all the details I could and answered everything you asked me and even took pictures to prove it and then I get accused of being an Atomic employee and all sorts of other things. They have put alot of hard work into this case and so has my father and I so yes I do stand behind it because I know it works great and looks great and then to be questioned about my motives kind of hurts. I thought this forum was about helping each other and that was all I was trying to do. If someone reads my review and decided to buy the case then great, if not then no big deal. So from now on if anyone has a question about the case or would like to see a specific test then please pm me or email me and I will get back to you asap, besides that I am done posting on this subject. I do have a couple of other colors coming and I will post pictures of those, one will be all brushed, one all black one and orange/black. Sorry if anyone was offended by what I said or if you thought I was trying to push the case on anyone but I just believe in it and the owner is a good guy who is out to make the best product he can at the best price he can and to make his customers happy and that's the only reason I even got involved because the case had a few kinks that needed worked out before he started really selling alot of them and getting bad feedback. So sorry for the long post but that is my full explanation on the subject. Take it for what it is worth.

Even the Alumacase guy isn't as gung-ho about his own product as you are being. And you were being rude in the other thread. Rude enough that I was embarrassed for you. Your actions and behavior have really made Atomic lose a lot of credibility, and have lost a buyer in me.
I wasn't being rude at all. Somewhere in that thread someone asked me to post my results with the atomic case and then he would post his and then he finally did 30 hours later and they weren't very good to be honest. So I don't really care what you think. Why make claims if you can't back them up, that's all I said. And I can make my numbers look just like his. Go in another room and take readings, then go outside and take readings and then go back inside and take the pictures and there you go. There is no way you can add a aluminum case and get a BETTER signal, totally not possible. When I see the video I will believe it. His phone was showing -109 db, that's almost no signal. And look at his last picture he posted, same phone with the exact same places and his db levels are 10 apart? That also is telling me that the signal is having touble getting in. I am not knocking his case but you really need to look at the pictures and pay close attention and they will tell you alot. And look at his ping numbers, the phone was totally struggling to get that wifi signal. When your phone pings 400+ times, that's not good. But go buy that case, your not going to hurt my feelings, it will be your money your wasting..
What?? That doesn't even matter. A company can give a reviewer something worth $500 and if it sucks he would review it accordingly without hesitation. Most companies respect an honest review even if you bash their product/s.
Thank you, finally someone gets it. I get free stuff to test in my line of work all the time and unfortunately I sometimes have to tell people their stuff is junk. Better to be honest than have a bad product out there.
I'm sure I don't need you to explain to me the results of his test, or give me your opinions on them. I can definitely come to my own conclusions. My point was (and you may have proven it with above rant) is that you hijacked and spammed the guy's thread. It's like what all those obnoxious Android users have been doing to this forum.
And even if it did take 30 hours to post the results of the test, how is that unreasonable? People have lives. And jobs. And other stuff to do, then respond immediately. Even you, in this thread, took time to post pictures and stuff after you said you received them.
I'm just saying, honestly, if you tone it down people will take you, and the case you are trying to promote a bit more seriously.
So, in your honest opinion, in reading all of nolesfan's posts in all the aluminum case threads (I think he's now posted multiple times in all of the threads dealing with aluminum Bumper clones), his enthusiastic and over the top posts don't give you even the slightest impression that he could possibly have something to do with the company? I know you review products as well, and as far as I can tell it might even be part of your primary occupation, but I don't see you bashing other manufacturers of products that compete with your "favorites" (if you even express favoritism). Nor do I see you (or other reviewers on here, like psyconaut, etc) posting in EVERY thread about said product, stating how it's "the best ever" (when the other products haven't even been tried out by anyone). And yes, most people who aren't professional/semi-profession reviewers (who typically get every product free or drastically discounted) would be less likely to completely trash a product when given to them for free.
This line is honestly hard to believe. Atomic has been working on this case for "just as long as Element", yet the Atomic design overall matches almost exactly what the Element version (which came out first) looks like? Same asymmetrical design, same notched "grip" style on the right side, and heck, even the font of the logo on the side looks similar. But Atomic just happened to have this exact same idea at the same time as the Element designer on the other side of the country? I don't buy that. It's a copy (maybe even better than the reference design Vapor) of the Element product that was seen in the first released renders of the Vapor. There's no way that the idea didn't originate from that.
