I'm not really sure why anyone likes this case...Its utterly terrible. Sharp ass edges(it will shred layers of my finger nail off), bulky, small gaps around the upper left edge, and extremely brittle around the dock connector(mine broke already). Speaking of, this case basically made all of my 3rd party sound docks and connectors useless, none of them fit!! I tried calling them multiple times with no answer...Filed a purchase protection claim this morning...Why do you guys like this case?? Terrible, just terrible.

Here are a few reasons I love mine..

1 - I love the design, and i like it how its slim. Feels good when holding.

2 - There are no gaps and a tight fit. great finish. I dont use 3rd party docking so i could care less. I just use my apple connector for charging and it works great. I use aftermarket headphone and it has no issue connecting.

3 - love the extra chrome cap. it really makes it pop. and i can switch out other color caps if i get bored with one color.

4 - i have no issue with customer service. they respond within a few hours or a day, sometimes immediate. gotta catch em.

PM Me if you want I have a phone number for em if you cant get through.

I'm not sure how it could possibly feel good for anyone to hold, I have large hands and it seriously cuts into me...The worst case hands down that I have ever had for any of my 4 iphones...

My experience has basically been: If you ask a question they can answer easily and you are a happy customer, they get right back to you. On the other hand, if you have a complaint, or it's a question that actually takes some work for them, they ignore you and hope that you will shut up and go away. When I didn't give up, their response was to try to make fun of me and tell me I was over-reacting.

Obviously, I am biased in that I had a terrible CS experience, but I think they make a lousy product, and then refuse to support it if you are unhappy.

I would be pissed too. But I had the opposite experience and feel this is the best bumper case for the ip4. I know all these full aluminum case co's are now saying they solved the signal issue but I dont think thats true at all. I had em, and im in a weak signal area and they just dont work. To me 1 to 2 bar drop is frequent drops. The Atomic Hybrid - while people are complaining why the bigger side feels cheap plastic, it simply works. I never have any call drops that are case related. My buddy has the vapors, e13s, blade and something else... they all affect signal in our office building and renders the phone useless.

Curious to know how there diamondback is. That looks like a lot of aluminum on there!

I hear you. I _really_ wanted to love this case, because it absolutely solved the signal issue. But you really can't have both it seems. The composite piece is just too weak. As far as the diamondback, if they can keep the aluminum off the phone, it should work (a la the Xcel case)...

Been on the road in the midwest for 6 weeks, traveling between BMW dealerships doing some field training. Was in big and little towns alike. Home now. I got a element vapor pro over the time I was gone, and mounted it last night. It lasted 6 hours on my phone – dropped 2 calls today and still screws with gps…sold it this aft…Back to my atomic. In 18 different cities in the Midwest, the atomic never dropped a call – not one….and GPS was perfect.

If anyone is interested in a blk/aluminum case, I have 2 available. PM if interested.

Black/Gun Metal.

I just received my case 2 days ago and as soon as I put it on, I just didn't like it because of the sharp edges and extra bulk, so I sent them an email asking for return/refund, its been almost 2 days now and still no response. How's their customer service with returns?

non existent

I just received a response from them with instructions on how to ship it back. There might be a 20% restocking fee, which I am fine with, even though I had the case on for a few mins. I just hope I get my money back in a timely manner. Will report back.

I hope you have better luck than me. I had to file a PayPal dispute to get my money back. The company also has an "F" from the Better Business Bureau" because of complaints about returns. Sorry, wish I was more optimistic for you.

I have just recieved my 2 cases that both have quality issues on the delrin side I will post the issues once I know the outcome and if this lack of quality control is made right by Atomic's customer service. I will say this for now, I ordered 2 different color sides and received both the same color.

I have contacted them and so far I am being told to ship back for inspection after sending a pic of the issue which is clearly a manufacturing defect on one of the delrin sides. I am also guessing at my cost when asked they did not respond yet.

On a side note the actual machining is top notch on the aluminum and delrin and the flush power button although being flush is very responsive and easy to press as well as access to the volume and mute switch. GPS, WIFI and Cell strength is unaffected. Fittment is also excellent, no buldging on the delrin side, very snug and tight all around, no gaps, it meets the actual phones screen surround perfectly also where the two parts meet are spot on both top and bottom all this applies to both cases. If you are familiar with the Element Vapor there is a significant gap all around the phones screen and the two parts just never lined up properly no matter how much tweaking it was always off a tad and the joint can be seen and felt with your finger let alone your nail so that was a warm welcome with the Atomic, I hated the look with that gap, also the Elements power button was horrendous and jammed on me on many occasions during the entire 3 days i had it ob my phone never mind the signal issues for $80+ dollars the machining and fittment should be flawless.

Update:

They have contacted me and are determined to resolve the issues and provide a UPS label.
As for the shipping mixup with the 2 color end caps it was my bad, they are in fact different however under normal lighting they appear to be exactly the same. The colors I am referring to are the brushed aluminum and the gunmetal. You can only see a small difference under flourescent lighting. The pictures posted here by different members shows a significant different which must be attributed to different cameras and ligthting. Side by side under the same lighting they appear identical.

Update 2:
Customer service has been great, prompt replies and as stated before very determined to resolve the issue. Atomic is exchanging by cross shipping replacement parts, they have shipped and notification was sent to me with tracking and they went above and beyond by including
extras and custom to top it off. I am extremelly happy with the way I was treated to resolve the issues with the frames (composite sides)

The initial problem with the frames was one that could happen with any injection molded part and/or coating process, it was minimal however also noticeable but could have been missed during quality control if not viewed at the right angle and/or lighting. Other than that as I posted earlier everything about the case as well as their customer service is second to none based on my dealings with them.

These are my experiences with Atomic, your experiences may be different depending on the situation but like I said they went above and beyond to correct the issues and make me a happy customer.

A big thank you to the entire Atomic team.

Had the gunmetal hybrid for a few days now and I'm very satisfied. Shipping was quick and I've had many iPhone users turn their heads to stare at this case.
