Update

Just thought I would post to say that it has been 2 weeks since they received my return, and they still have yet to issue me a refund (despite nearly daily e-mail exchanges). I cannot stress enough what a nightmare it has been to deal with this company. I am happy for the people with good experiences with Atomic Industries, but I would definitely say buyer beware...

I am sure they will work it out. I dont think a buyer beware is necessary. I and most others seem to be very happy with their product and service. I think the trend here is when these cases and others first come out the service level and feedback is great and fast. Then as they become swamped with sales and orders, service levels fall short. Sound familiar?

Sure, I think also the issue is that they do a good job when the customer is happy - they did respond very quickly when I first complained. The issue is that when I continued to complain, they shifted to a different mode - reflect, blame, deny, and now it seems, ignore. This theme has been reflected in some other posts. I guess a revision would be - buyer beware if you tend to be picky and might want to return the product?

Hi,

I've tried Blade, e13ctron and all their headphone jack openings are very small. Very sad.

It will be nice if someone could take a HQ detailed picture of the headphone jack of the phone with the case on.

I'm considering getting Black/Black for it. Thanks. :)

The opening is fairly wide, but very deep - so if your jack steps up to a larger width you may have a challenge.

Just got my custom 24k Atomic Hybrid with Black Screws. Fit and Finish is superb! Don't ask how much extra :p but wanted to match my Rolex!

Thanks bighabeeb!

Do you mind taking a picture directly on top of the headphone jack? But not at a angle? Thanks!

Here ya go - my apologies for the quality (or lack there of) - these were taken with a blackberry as a camera that I happened to have quick access to :p

Since I already had all of my gear out doing photos for other product reviews, I popped my Atomic on and got you a clear image of what you asked for.

This really helps a lot! The hole may be deeper but it is definitely bigger compared to e13ctron! I think I am getting one of this casing soon. Sweet!:p

New stuff coming out from Atomic - true carbon backing...
Available now, $24.99 - will fit in atomic, vapor, and e13ctron cases from what I'm being told.

how much do they ocst and hows the quality and do they use glue ?
will they leave any marks ?

I've had mine for a month now before it officially went on sale yesterday. Mine however has the "F1 Carbon" logo, and apparently and now have the apple logo shining through instead. None of the other carbon plates have the Apple logo shining through. Quality is great, and like BIGHABEEB said, you its case independent.

True Carbon Fiber

Does it attach to the phone like the skin, or is it a true backplate?

Dude, read the post. Its 24.99 :p I also haven't received it yet, but if their previous CF backings are any indicator, I had no issue removing and very easily cleaning off the back of the phone - slight residual stickiness but nothing to get in a huff over. The CF also retained its stickiness and could be readily re-applied.

It's not a replacement backplate, it sticks on the back of the phone, same as the other CF backings out there...I'll do more of a review once I receive mine.

Assuming this is the same as the F1 CF that they've had for awhile, the quality is pretty outstanding...a bit thicker than other backings I've had etc I actually went back to their old school CF awhile ago because I like the patterned feel of the CF more than the glossy finish - but have to admit, I'm eager to try this one on - the gloss will look spiffy with a black/brushed case :)

oops i didnt see the price so sorry
anyway how thick the plate ?
cause im not a fan of metal cases, i use SGP neo hybrid EX bumper style case and right now im using SGP carbon backplate protector that looks kind of like a sticker to me than a carbn fiber.
im interested to buy this "true "carbon fibre backplate but will it fit my case ?

That does look nice, Guillermo.

Perfect accesory for your Rolex too...Bling! :D

How was the much dreaded fitting issue? I'm now debating on whether to get the new Vapor Pro, or an E13ectron case in substitute of my regular fitting atomic case.

Mine fits perfect. No gaps, no issues at all. I thought about getting the Vapor Pro or El3tron but I also like to use my phone for phone calls. :D Im anxiously waiting for the Diamondback on the 15th.

You got a point there (signal issues). The Diamondback is an option I'll have to consider seriously and will anxiously be waiting for the reviews on it.

Hi chris975d.

Do you mind measuring the diameter of the hole of the Atomic Hybrid? Preferably in centimetres?

Thanks

After 6 weeks, I have finally gotten a refund. I actually had to file a PayPal Claim, which was decided in my favor, because they never even bothered to reply to PayPal's request for information. I don't care how "swamped" they are, this is not a normal level of customer service.
