ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Each AT&T iPhone 5 will arrive with a Nano-SIM pre-installed in the iPhone. Just check the back / bottom of the box and you will see the bar code for the ICCID of the Nano-SIM. That's how AT&T assigns the Nano-SIM to your account.
It does not matter how much you pay. Only Unlockded iPhones from Apple are shipped without a including a carrier Nano-SIM. It is a different model family than the AT&T models available from AT&T or Apple with an AT&T model number.

Thanks Dave, i hope it is pre installed, but it seems weird because everyone here on this thread has the "various sim" in their order list but mine is only iphone in the list no various sim
The las t 2 phones I got from ATT both came before they were promised...in one case the order status was stuck on shipment pending and I called to check on it and was told it would ship the next day....shortly after that call headed home and the phone was in my garage....the reps do a lot of guess work and are told to be extra careful not to over commit

- ordered through att premier on 09/14 at ~7:15 am PST. I'm in california
- received that plain text email everyone else was talking about tonight
- checked order status page https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status_results.jsp with my phone number and it says 'Pending Shipment'

Premier Confirmation Letter
I just received the Premier confirmation letter. I ordered at 6:15am on 9/14. Card was charged immediately.

Just for the record, nobody has been "charged" or will be until your item ships. You have however had an authorization in the full amount of the order. technically speaking you have not paid any money, unless of course you use those terrible unsafe things called debits cards.
i use my debit card and its is still processing but already deducted from the balance

For some reason, I am not able to place an order until Sat morning, the shipping estimate has already slipped to 14-21 days. I am definitely not expecting to get my phone on Friday, however does anyone know approximately when is it going to arrive?
I ordered my 16gb black iphone at 12:30am PST on 9/14, got a confirmation email right away and had the pending payment posted right away, but my backordered is still 1. I wish i could believe this whole first come first serve business.
update on my order:
I just got an email telling me that my order was ready for shipping and for me to receive it on the 21st.
also on the order status website my phone went from 1-backordered to 0-backordered…
i'm just extremely excited! hahaha

I ordered friday night so I don't expect a Friday delivery, just seeing if there are others who ordered late who actually receive an email and had theirs backordered changed to 0 from 1.

Which is why I am not losing hope just yet despite me ordering late. People like you who ordered early (literally minutes!) are still showing 1. It doesn't make sense to me.

what time did you order and what time zone?
I ordered 7pm PDT. Yea I know it's late but work got on the way. I also couldn't pre-order midnight since I'm not eligible for upgrade. The at&t corporate store gave me an override so I had to pre-order in the store but couldn't do it in the morning because of a work retreat.
