That's what I did last night. I got fed and said *** it. Lol, and what do you know it went to 0 backorder today. :D
 
I just went off back-order. ordered my on 9/14 7:30am est. my order #1407.
Wow I was loosing hope. This is a good sign for all the 1407 people!!
 
I have pre-ordered my 64GB black version on the 17th via the AT&T premier website.

Two days later on the 19th I get a second confirmation email that my phone is reserved and ready to be shipped in 14 to 21 business days.

I have tried to change my pre-order to get the white version due to the new scuff-gate problem but the rep. told me I can no longer make changes since my account is active :eek: ...BUT still ships out in 21 business days :eek:

My credit card got charged from the second day of placing the order but the transaction hasn't been posted (still pending).

I do not understand how my account can be active already if my phone doesn't ship for another month... why cannot they make any changes or let me cancel the pre-order?

The premier website shows status "pre-order processing"...

If they do let me cancel what happens with the 2yr contract I signed up for?

At this point I regret jumping the bandwagon and I wish I could cancel and get a samsung galaxy s3 but the premier offer was really good ($51/mo)

Anyone help?

You should be able to call ATT Support/Premier Support and have them manually cancel and reset your new contract privileges. No worries. :]
 
Keep calling. Eventually someone will be able to help you. You need to get to the second level of customer service reps. Ask for a manager or a retention specialist. They should be able to help.

If not, you can always return the phone after you get it, but it can take some time for AT&T to restore your discounedt price eligibility.
 
And just like that mine has just come off back order. To review I ordered mine on 9/17 at the AT&T Store at about 4:00 pm ET. It's for 2 iPhone 5 white 64GB order number 101181XXXXXXX. Both came off back order just now. Now lets see when I get updated for shipping.
 
Ordered from AT&T store, in person, around 12:30pm PDT on the 14th. My order info on the AT&T website always said, processing and delivery in 14-21 days. It never changed from that status until tonight. At 7:36pm I received a shipping notice, with delivery guaranteed by 3pm tomorrow, the 27th. Ordered a white, 32G.
 
Finally!! I ordered mine on the 15th of September, got confirmation the 17th and I was backordered until sept 25 about 5pm, I got shipping confirmation today the 26th around 7pm, and delivery date is 27th before 3pm which is tomorrow...so timeline is about 12 days total from order confirmation Email to shipment delivery....
 
This SUCKSSS i have been back ordered since o rodered my 16 black on 9/15 WTF where is my dam phone, I decided to go swimming last week with my iPhone without the lifeproof. Come on ATT
 
Well EXTP88992 still backorder. Guess I will be waiting until at least next week now considering its Thursday and they aren't shipping Saturday.

My story!

I ordered a white 16g on the 15 around 11 am. Wasn't thinking I would get mine off backorder before the 14's especially since premier didn't show it till 16th.
I have 2 accounts 8 lines been with them since 1997. I called to make sure there wasn't an issue with my order. The cs agent apologized for the delay and offered to give me a 70$ instant credit for the inconvenience. That offended me after reading people getting hundreds of dollars in credits. He said he would let me speak to a manager he apologized and gave me another 124.21, odd amount but ok. I have 4 lines that are out of contract and there are Verizon phones in store. If it weren't for the grandfathered unlimited I would have moved them all over.
I have been on back order forever still no change. CSr offered to cancel order and reinstate upgrade immediately, I told him I didn't want to do that till I had a phone in my hand. So they called all the AT&T stores in my area and none available. So they give another 100$ credit and give me a number for premier to call to cancel if I find one in store.
I have a 32g white reserved and paid for to pick up today on a separate number, now I have to see how the cancelation goes so I can put my number on the store bought phone.
