ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Ordered 32 GB white online with AT&T at 11 am estn
Everything went fine got the email from AT&T that said it was for a 16GB white had to call AT&T and they canceled then fixed it around 1 pm
I called csr and they tell me i won't get it until oct 28 and it wasn't there fault that I ordered wrong even though I ordered right at there system screwed it up
Has anybody got their iPhone 5 with 90310 yet?
At this point I wish apple would tell att to go F their selfs and never let AT&T do iPhones again

I checked my order status this morning and it says 0 under the QTY back-ordered!

So from my understanding, I should be expecting a tracking # soon?


btw it's a 32gb black/slate ordered around 5pm on 9/14.

Expect a phone either Friday or Monday to be honest.
 
Oh AT&T!!

I hope to make this brief... I ordered 9/14 at 4:34pm EST. Order was processed through Premier. Received confirmation e-mail immediately but order date changed to 9/16. Launch day, I went to my local AT&T store. I needed a SIM card to use in an old phone while I waited for my new one. They had a few iPhone 5's in stock. Said I could order if my preorder had not shipped. After a few attempts, I was able to cancel my preorder online and get the phone and leave the store. When I got home I had an email from Premier that said my preorder cancellation was not processed. SO I called and spoke with a CSR who told me they couldn't cancel my order, it was already assigned to be shipped. This is last friday, mind you. So I'm told a phone is still going to come to me. On 9/24 I got an email from Premier stating my preorder cancellation request had been approved. For shiz and gigs I've been checking my order status randomly. It's still been showing in process and backordered. As of this morning, I received my CSS e-mail. When I went to check my order status, it is no longer backordered. From what I've been reading here, that means I should be getting my phone soon! How exciting!! What the F am I going to do with a second phone?? Even better question...what are they going to charge me for it? I already paid for the one in hand, $199.
 
Looks like 32gb versions are finally replenished. Mine just went off backorder! If you ordered early morning on 9/14 and are still waiting, it should happen soon.
 
EXTP889985 w/order date of 17th. Premier order for a 32GB Black. I'm still in preorder hell. I don't even think my phone will ship out next week! :(
 
Progress

The first order just came off back-order. No tracking number or shipping date yet. The second order is still on bac-korder.

Ordered another phone around 1pm on the 17th. 16g White. Still on backorder. I received a text and confirmation email for both on the day ordered. The order numbers start with 1810 for both.

Not too frustrated as I wsa told expect 14 - 21 days. Happy for those that have received their phones earlier than expected.

9/14 6:30am est preorder the iphone 5 16gb
9/15 credit card declined
9/17 credit card finally fixed, wrong zip code issue
9/25 off backorder
9/27 7am fedex number recieved
9/28 est. delivery date by 3pm est

they will likely charge you at some point - I'd take the 2nd phone to AT&T immediately to return. This is happening a LOT with canceled orders. Every "spare" phone that is sent to someone who canceled and picked up a phone through a different method is one less backorder that can be filled.

As of 11pm last night, I was off backorder status. Got an email around 4am with tracking info. Now I'm wearing out the refresh button on FedEx's tracking page. Delivery estimated by tomorrow at 3pm

ordered in store 9/14, 12:48pm, rec'd confirmation email 7:25pm. 32gig black.

Gosh. Huge variance in "backorder=0 to ship" times. I've seen from 12 hours to 5 days. No telling what to expect. I've been through 24 hours so far....

Mine is being 'prepped for shipment'. Order number 1407. I did not expect it to actually get this far this soon. Hang in there.

Anyone figure out if the idea that order numbers were related to geography has some truthiness to it?:confused:

Also, is there a consensus? Trade black for white?
 
Camillia: You placed a pre-order on the website;therefore, the phones never were going to be delivered on launch date. The phones had to be released to AT&T, and then we were able to ship the phones to the customers.

Direct quote from a CSR today.

I ordered 09/14, processes 09/16, black 16gb to replace iPhone 3. Still on back order. i ordered through Premier.

Order placed 9/14 at 8:19 CDT. 32GB black. Back-ordered 0 as of this morning.

I ordered at 3:15, and mine is FINALLY off backorder, so I assume it'll be delivered tomorrow by 4:30, seeing as the black i ordered 15 minutes later went off backorder on the 20th, and I got a shipping number the morning of the 21st and got it delivered at 3:30 the 21st.
 
Well, phones are now on fedex truck for delivery! So excited to finally have them today. Thanks for this forum, it helped me deal with the crazy AT&T fiasco. Hope y'all get your phones soon!!!!
