Just heard back from him - he did not receive his phone. Order sheet says it was pulled on 9/27 and shipped, like mine, but he hasn't received anything. Wonder where that puts him in line...
What else can ATT do wrong?
You must bank with Chase. They did that to me during the iphone 4 preorder. I stayed up until 3am and got my order in right at the start. Went to bed happy and the next day found out Chase held it up because of the 3am purchase. They said they thought my card had been stolen. When I told him about the iphone preorder he was like, "Oh crap, was that today?" I don't know what they did to correct it, if anything, but my order went through afterall with no delay.
Wait, you ordered yours on the 26th??? And I thought I was asking too much to get my phone already. I ordered on the 20th. How the heck did you get your phone shipped so fast, that was literally 3 days ago?
Seems like the 64gb's are getting out pretty fast, and the black 16gb's are coming off BO today/yesterday... however, looks like the white 16gb's are stuck in limbo...
I imagine they will be filling orders a lot faster now that Sharp has finally got their screen production up and running after a big delay.
I suppose we'll start seeing theads on which company made your iphone screen (if any screen problems pop up). Not to worry though, Apple has a generous return/replacement policy for such things. They gave me a brand new ipad 3 recently when a few spots started showing up on the screen.
Monday or Tuesday and you should be off...the 0 feels so good, shipping info will feel that much better
I ordered the 14th, processed as if I ordered the 17th. I came off backorder today. Black 16gb. My white 16gb is still BACKORDERED though.
I hope so. I been trying to be patient but its seems like I check to see if its off backorder like 20 times a day. I got a case and a car charger wit no phone
Have you seen them in person yet? It's well worth the wait. Deffinetely the best made iPhone to date. The light weight will just blow your mind seriously.. You think to yourself.. Is there anything inside? The black in person just looks soooooo much better then the pictures do. I can't wait til I come from work and see that box sitting on my porch on Monday or Tuesday!
Was funny how mine came off back order. I checked it at 4:44 then again at 4:45 like a psychopath and magically the 0 showed up and status said N/A.. Checked it again a minute later status back to processing and still back order 0!
I havent seen it in person yet. I refuse to look at anybodys until I get mine. lol
9/17 Ordered Black 32 Gb in store and received order confirmation email right after (Iphone will ship in 14-21 days...)
I haven't checked the order status in the first days after ordering but since I started checking the order status is stucked on Processing.
Never seen a backordered status like most of people here....
Is it bad news? Anyone in the same situation?

I placed a pre-order in an AT&T store on 9/19 for a black 64 GB iPhone 5, and my order status recently changed to 0 under backorder. However, since placing that in-store order, the credit card I used had fraudulent activity on it. The card had to be cancelled and Mastercard issued me a new card with a different number. I called the AT&T store I ordered from to update the credit card information on my account and was told that there was absolutely no way they could change any of the information in my order, and that the only solution would be to cancel my order and create an entirely new order, pushing back my delivery date at least another three weeks. I asked what would happen if I left it the way it is, and they said it would eventually get cancelled on its own and they would be notified and contact me to create a new order. However, I then called AT&T customer service and was told that, while it was indeed absolutely impossible to change the credit card number on my order, that it shouldnt matter because the moment I preordered my phone my original card was already charged and would not need to be charged again. My credit card records show a pre-authorization charge from AT&T but not a charge outright. I informed the rep that I was told in the store as well as in the follow up email I received that my card would not be charged until shipment, but the rep was adamant that if I had signed the terms and conditions, which I did in the store, then there was absolutely no way that I had not already been charged for the phone, as apparently their protocol for iPhone pre-orders now is to charge at the moment of initial order. She seemed convinced that my order would go through and ship as it must have been already paid for. I dont know who to believe. Has anyone else had similar problems? Has anyone been able to change the credit card number attached to their pre-order? Can anyone who pre-ordered in an AT&T store testify as to when their card was actually charged?

I made an account just now, only to tell you this man is a troll. He also commented saying AT&T gave him a $250 credit. I ordered 4pm in store 16gb white, still on backorder.
