Mine starts with XW 120. I think XW indicates mine was a store order. Anyways, I also ordered on 16th, so I am hopeful now.

They are random, especially since there are 3 ways to order- online, phone and store. And each generates its own genre of order nos. So dont sweat on it. My observation says it all matters when the order was processed.

I re-ordered in store 7pm, 7/17, 16GB white, still on backorder. I could be totally wrong but I still have a theory that online orders seem to be receiving priority over in store orders. Who knows. I can't figure this company out. Incipio has pushed back the shipping date of my case 3 times so far so maybe it's a good thing I haven't received the phone yet. lol

I'm not a troll or a man. This whole week there has been a "1" under "Qty Back-Ordered"' today it's not there. So, I'm assuming that's what being taken off back-order means. I was trying to be helpful and give updated information. And FYI, ATT did give me that credit.

Well I believe we are next to receive our phones, hopefully (@ 16gb white). I see a lot of people on the 15th receiving I believe. Anyone care to comment on the progress of their 16GB WHITE? 16GB WHITE?

My wife's 16gb white is still on backorder. 14th order date/17th proccessed. My black 16gb came off today!! Just waiting for my shipping info. Hoping it's Monday and not Tuesday!
 
Will we have to insert a sim card when it arrives? In the past, I've only preordered through Apple, and the phones have always come with the sim card already inserted.
 
Got a tracking # on the order status page, not listed as shipped on their site yet, nor is the tracking # working....yet!

Edit: tracking # is working now, but it hasn't been picked up yet by ups

I was tired of this backorder thing so I was reserved two phones at an Apple store an hour drive away. After running back and forth from the Apple store to ATT, I finally had my phones. Never pre-ordering again. The nicest thing of today was seeing a girl accompanied by her dad, walking out of the apple store with a new iPhone 4 in her hand. She was extremely happy and was hugging her dad. Made me feel dumb for caring so much about the latest gadget that a company offers.

I thought ATT were not for filling orders during the weekend. I hope to be off of back order. I have same order date just hope they ship me a 32gb black iPhone.
 
Still no tracking info yet for me. Came off backorder around 445pm today. I assume i won't see any tracking info until Monday. Tuesday delivery sounds nice!
 
16GB white preordered online premier 9/16
Came off backorder around 1 pm 9/29, received shipping info at 4:30pm 9/29. Should be here Monday by 3pm via FedEx!!!!!!! Hang in there it'll come, I had almost given up on ever coming off backorder! Upgrading from 3GS #

Just got shipping information!

9/17 32GB Black

Took almost exactly 14 days to ship...not too bad except I could have gone to the apple store on the 21st since I had the day off...

Oh well!
