ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Mine has shipped out. I placed the order on the 26th, and noticed it went off backorder yesterday. Then, I was notified that it shipped out this morning. :eek:

Yeah I still dont get it... how can they fill orders coming on or after the sale date when they still have pre-orders outstanding? of course the more important question is why haven't I cancelled the pre-order yet? I guess I just haven't felt like trying to fight to get to whatever level management to get the whole insanity that is such a situation.

So you placed your order on the 26th and got yours shipped? That's pretty crazy... I went into the store and placed an order on the 28th for a black 32GB :p
 
Got my tracking info today - UPS though, not FedEx. Should be in my hands Tuesday.

To recap - Preordered approx. 2 PM CDT on 9/16, backordered until Friday 9/28. Should arrive Oct 2. 15 days.

Really? Mine has shipped as well, but I ordered 15th, didn't process till the 17th...but I know there are a LOT of people that ordered after you still waiting. Cool you're getting yours, but AT&T has pissed a lot of people off with their joke of a 'first come' policy.

Hope you're right.... yes, it's unfortunate that there are still some 9/14-16 orders that haven't shipped yet and others are going out first. I'd like to see them get out, cause that only means we're next in line! (you'd think)...

I would call and check on it, you never know... I've even heard of some people calling about their order and it magically comes off of BO soon after... don't know if the CSR pushed it through or if just a coincidence...

I've called so many times... I'm planning on calling again tomorrow though.

I got off of backorder Friday and just got my shipping into today. Thank goodness...I receive it by Tuesday. The dreadful wait is almost over!!! Ordered on the 14th, processed the 16th. You should receive it soon! :)
 
My phone is shipping out UPS 2 Day Air. What is bizarre is that it is originating in Memphis, a FedEx hub. The UPS Air hub is in Louisville.

It's almost like AT&T has a facility in Memphis to move product to FedEx but FedEx was too full to accept any more so they switched to UPS.

Given how most of the AT&T shipments have come FedEx it is just really odd to have a package originate in Memphis and go UPS.

Never pre-ordering again. The nicest thing of today was seeing a girl accompanied by her dad, walking out of the apple store with a new iPhone 4 in her hand. She was extremely happy and was hugging her dad. Made me feel dumb for caring so much about the latest gadget that a company offers.

My iPhone 5, 16GB, now has shipping info! Ordered 09/14, processed 09/16, came off back order yesterday, shipping info today!!! I hope everyone gets their phone! Thanks for the support!
