Sarahw and Brounmoney- We are all in the same boat, same model/dates, let's keep each other updated. I am also tired of seeing people who ordered the 1st and getting their phones already. I understand how those with other models are getting them faster, but if the white 16 is in such short supply how is it that someone who ordered on the 1st already has theirs while those who ordered on the 18th are still waiting...
I give up checking my order status, until I see movement with the 18th and 19th preorders there is no hope for us...... :/

Let us know what they say. I'm curious how they'll explain this one.
So here is my saga. I ordered a 16g, white iPhone 5 on 09/17/2012. I was told at that time that it would take 14-21 days for the phone to arrive. I was a bit hesistant, but I decided to go ahead and order it. About a week later, I was in a small town called Pahrump, NV and the local Radio Shack had the phone. So I called AT&T, to cancel my order and they firmly said no. I even called twice after the first initial no and was told that it would not be possible. Bare with me, I know this story is long. So about a week later, I realized that my credit card that I ordered my phone with was about to expire at the end of the month, 09/30/2012 and I did not want my order to be declined, when they were to ship the phone and delay me further. So I called AT&T and told them my dilema and that I just wanted to update my credit card info. Now this is when I became livid. They told me that I would have to cancel my order and reorder the phone, with my new card. All of a sudden, they have the ability to cancel an order and make me restart the ordering process, which I was not willing to do. At this point, I am willing to wait until a local store has it in stock. After a few choice words and threatening to go to Verizon, they credited my bill for the month of October and I made sure that they updated my eligibilty status. Now get this, they still shipped the phone anyway. It is schedule to arrive on 10/10/2012. Once the phone arrives of course I will then call AT&T and pay for the phone, but there system is truly flawed. But I can not complain, October's bill got paid and I am still getting an Iphone 5.
