I just called AT&T, they gave me a $50.00 credit to waive the activation fee & told me my shipping date was Oct 9th-Oct 18th so at least that's something! I will just hold on until it comes I guess. If its not here by the 18th it will be a whole different story!!!

I ordered on 9/18 a White 16GB....I'm still on BO....



I called CS b/c technically today is the 21st day...But of course they meant business days (Missed that part)....



The Rep blamed everything on APPLE (of course)....However, received a credit for my troubles....


He did say that I should get it at the latest on the 16th...Yea we shall see...



I would cancel my order, but all the stores in Orlando are Sold Out...
 
Ordered 32gb black on 9/30 over the phone with AT&T...still backordered. I'm crossing my fingers for an unexpected miracle rush of iPhone 5 shipments soon...

We should keep each other updated on our status because I thought I was the only 32GB black on here :p I ordered in store on 9/28 and I'm on backorder still as well.

Ordered 9/18 from premier. Is it normal for it to still say "preorder processing?" Does this mean its on backorder? What will the next phase say? Also is it normal for the charge to appear on your cc, then disappear?

Call the retention line and if your off contract say that you want to cancel your order and that you will g with another carrier. Sprint was offering a $100 landing credit to who ever switched to sprint. You can say that att didnt offer you anything. Sprint is giving you $100 to sign a two year contract.

Keep in mind that retention goal is to keep you as a customer. They should shell out money. They also have the option to give you services that you pay for for free for 3-6 months.

I have spoke to them so many times this past 2 weeks. as I said I got paid to upgrade my two phones it was a big huge credit.

The disappearing charge is/was most likely an authorization for the amount that will be charged when the phone ships...preorder processing is normal however since you ordered on the 19th, you should be seeing a status change to prepared for shipping very shortly...
 
I ordered 9/19 around 10:45 am cst in store and went off backorder last night and now today I am happy to report my phone was shipped. It was a 16gb black.

I just ordered 2 black, 64 gigs, yesterday morning (10/8), through AT&T by phone and just got a shipping notice now. Phones will be here by tomorrow (10/10), 3pm. I'm so surprised because I was told by CS that it would be 14 to 21 days. YAY!!!!!!!!:)

So if they are only sending a few days every week then yes they will not be on time. It seems that 17-18 are this week and maybe by next they get to me 20th. So yes I do think we can complain.

I don't disagree with this. If you don't have your phone in the quoted window then you have every right to complain.

Also if you have not notice people that ordered the same phones we did but order them in Oct. Have gotten them. Now I understand that we knew ahead of time there would be a wait, but I am going to get mad if people that ordered the same phone I did after I did already have there phones. That is just messed up.

It's irrelevant what other people are getting. It's great that they're getting their phones so quickly but AT&T is only obligated to provide their quoted service. Again, if you don't have your phone by next Friday then you should absolutely complain. But being mad that others are getting them before you is like crying because the kid next to you got a bigger piece of cake.
 
My phone just arrived 10 minutes ago!

Must be a glut of black 64GB units. Two days from order to shipment, and that was over a holiday weekend. I count myself among the lucky.

I dont see Movement on the 16's! :(
I ordered on the 24th.

16GB people are in a world of misery I cannot even begin to fathom and for that I am sorry. I'll tell you what, we can both find a 64 guy and kick him in the shin and cut his phone up so you get 2 16's and I get my 32.

Just ordered and paid for a black 64GB in our local AT&T store this afternoon and I hope I have the same luck. :)

Customer service are just liars

So I have a 16gb black on 9/14 although it shows up as 9/20 and I have been told that my phone should arrive between 10/10 and 10/19 and when I heck it's. still in BO. I called premier support and the rep looked up my order and stated it was in the warehouse just waiting to be shipped.i asked her how it was possible since the order status site says its in back order. She proceeded to assure me that's its physically in the warehouse and is going to ship. I the asked for her name and agent number since I have been screwed by them many times. So do you guys think she's lying or can it be that my phone is finally available ?
 
My status:
Oct 1 (night) - Ordered over the phone.
Oct 2 (morning) - Accepted terms and agreement which started the order process.
Oct 8 (morning) - Off from back-ordered to shipped, UPS tracking # provided, 2-day air. Hope it arrives Wed.

Originally ordered through apple's website right at pre-order time. Long story short: I had to cancel my apple order...reservations with Sam's Club...Sam's Club 7-10 business days delay...Took my chances for incoming shipments at AT&T and Apple stores for a walk in purchase, no luck...gave up and ordered on Oct 1. This is for a white 32GB for the wife. I do have a premiere account, but not sure and don't think it matters. On a side note, I got lucky, got my black 32GB in-store walk-in AT&T Sep 23.

did they charge you after it shipped or before? Premiere account here as well and debating about just giving in and ordering it online via ATT

didn't check that till now and currently don't see a charge, yet. i also just checked UPS tracking, shows "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated." Hopefully UPS shows an update tomorrow.

Oct 9 - CC charged. UPS shipping details appear.
Oct 10 - Arrival, end of day. Too bad they don't allow will call until the first attempt.

Glad to hear most people are seeing some movement. Wishing other luck.

Only a 10-day turn around between ordering with a Premiere account for a 32GB White?

Well then, hopefully I get mine sooner than expected (had one reserved through Apple, but had to return it due to account issues)... So I ordered one on October 7th =\
