ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

So did anyone else do a "direct fulfillment" order from an AT&T store? I ordered a white 16gb on 10/8 and received a confirmation on the order the same day.

Now it just says "in progress" and "pending shipment". So that means it has already been processed and that they are just waiting for the phones to come off backorder?

I guess so. I did the same thing. Ordered at the store on 10/1. They emailed me immediately to quote the 14-21 business day wait period and that's the last email I got from them.

What is direct fulfillment? I ordered on 10/01 and I am in the same situation as you. Just a confirmation email. That's it. No other email from AT&T.

Well apparently, direct fulfillment is the term they used with me when I put in my order. I had the 4S for about 2 days as a new customer and then on 10/8 I decided to pre-order the 5. When the 5 comes into the store, they take back the 4S.

That restocking fee absolutely sucks btw, but understood.

I just wonder if we were suppose to get another email that separates the "ordered" date from the "processed" date.

If the ordered date and processed date was the same date, I don't think you'll receive two emails. Getting two emails only happens when the dates are on two different dates. For instance, like my order, I ordered mine on the 19th and the processed date was the 21st. In that case I will receive two emails, one for the ordered date and one for the processed date.

I don't think so. You'll get an email when it ships, I think, but if you ordered in the store it should've been processed that day. If I'm wrong, then mine hasn't processed yet and it's been 16 days :p

Online. Ordered a white 16gb and a black 16gb on 9/19 and got processed on 9/21. Then ordered a white 16gb on 9/20 and got processed on 9/21. And you're welcome :)

When u ordered did u receive a Text Message or something? Cuz my best friend ordered his iPhone 5 and he didnt received an Email. He received a Text Message with all the info.

I ordered a black 16gb on the 25th via premier. I got the 21-28 business day quote too.

Yup thats the same one here. So I guess the next email will be the one that states it is shipped as AHDuke99 was saying.

Its definitely great to see these white 16gb's getting on the ball! It would be pretty dope to get mines by the end of October, but the way these shipment dates look, I'm not betting on it.

Yep. They are already fulfilling black 21-22th orderers. But the white ones are stuck :(

Apparently the 16GBs are taking longer than the 32GBs in general.. which probably explains it.
 
White 16 ATT processed 9/20 back order went to 0 Sunday am - shipped that day delivered via fed ex today.... Finally- worth the wait. Hang in there all!! :D
