ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

That must be it. I halfway expected mine to have shipped by now since the 32GB whites were shipping within a few days of being ordered. Now with 9/30 16gb orders shipping before my 10/1 32gb order, it seems supply of those are just as poor as the 16gb ones.

It's very disappointing that they aren't prepared, but we'll just have to see within the next few days
 
is there any evidence to the black 32s slowing down, or is it just impatience? I'm one of you guys, ordered 10/5, and if we're in line with the 16s then we're just around the corner.

PS just woke up from a dream where my 32 shipped... :\
 
i dont understand. so are the 32gbs on the same pace as the 16gbs?

if so my phone will ship by the end of the week. however two people psoted that their 9/27 iphone balck 32gbs are still on bo. this is just rediculous if this is true, that the 16gbs are ahead of the 32gbs which are in less demand

Yeah, it's looking more like our phones won't ship this week, which is not what I expected. I was under the impression for weeks that the 32gb models weren't as backed up as the 16th, but it looks like now they may even be further backed up than the 16gb models... which makes no sense unless Apple cut production of them to make more 16 models..
 
I'm so freakin glad I can preorder an iPad Mini without going through AT&T. I'll probably get it before my iPhone 5 comes in (ordered 9/20, gets off backorder, AT&T randomly cancels order before it ships, sent to the back of the line....)

It doesn't make sense, 32s should ship at least around the same time as 16 gb's if they are backed up with a lot orders.

10/1 and 10/2 orders should be off backorder by the end of this week.

I'm surprised the 32 gb's are taking that long, bc I almost canceled my black 16gb ip5 a few weeks ago and re-order a 32 because I heared the were shipping in a week. But I didn't bc I didn't want to be place in the back of the line.

For a week, I didn't know why but I noticed my order status changed to 0 so I called CS and was assured throughout the week (called like every other day) that a phone was on hold for me and that the phone would ship out once the confusion was settled. Then a week later, I call them again (I was given a callback appointment every time I called and never got one any time so I was constantly calling them myself) and was told that it was cancelled for good because of "insufficient funds" or something like that.

My credit card was working fine and I had more than enough money. I had two iPhones in the order and one shipped while the other got cancelled. Based on the multiple CSRs and manager's confusion, I know they messed up on their end. Regardless, they should have called to tell me there was an issue. Instead, they cancelled my order and had I not called them, I would never have known or been notified.

I'm at their mercy because a manager hooked me up with an early upgrade that can only be done with a phone order. Complicated and messy experience. Never again.......unless I have to use them to get an early upgrade again next year lol.

# 2 16 Black on 10/9 still on BO

This is going to be a looooooong wait.

Some guy on reddit who works for att was taking questions on a back order thread. Basically he told me from what he is seeing, my order could ship sometime this week :D
 
I received both of my phones today I ordered two white 16gb on 9/22 came off back order 10/18 one shipped on 10/19 the other 10/20 and they both arrived today via ups 2nd day air the phone is absolutely beautiful hang in there guys its well worth the wait bye.
 
I feel like I am on the titanic. I'm not first class and there are no boats for me. I am basically waiting for my dead but the band keeps play music.

Ordered my black 32gb 9/30/2012 and its BO still. I am tired of checking my shipping ever 2 hours send me my phone that has been paid for. Never again am I ordering it from the store.

I spent a frustrating hour Monday night, trying to check inventory @ 10 pm local time, for a black 16G iPhone5. No luck, never saw any indication of any stock after non-stop shopping cart refreshes.

Before going to bed, just thought about RadioShack .... checked inventory online ..... it showed availability at a store, practically at a stone's throw away from home.

Called next morning just before store opening and was put on hold, a few minutes later they said they had some .... rushed to the store and was told that they had exactly one unit left ... they had received 15 units since 9/21 and only 2 last week. Quickly called it "mine", grabbed it .... rest is all happiness and amazement :D My first iPhone (5) .... Try your local RadioShack tomorrow morning, you might get lucky ;)

Still within 14-21 day quote but hope to see movement soon.

9/30 at an ATT store. I'm hoping that today I finally come off BO. Nothing yet as of this morning but hopefully later in the afternoon it changes...
