ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

cant wait to see oct orders with movement!!! Almost there, next time i buy a 64gb and avoid this wait.

The ship from Apple to AT&T in blocks as they are produced. They probably produced equal quantities up front, but the 32 and 64 were in less demand so the stock stuck around, now the stock is probably even with the 16s so they are getting shipments as they are produced. I guarantee you that Apple doesn't produce as many 32s and 64s as 16s.

I ordered the same phone on 10/1. We should be coming off bo any day now as 9/30 people are coming off backorder.

As far as At&t canceling orders after 30 days, I've yet seen this happen to anyone. It would be bad business if they promised 14-21 days shipment and could not fufill it. I have waited this whole month patiently on bo but not for At&t to cancel my order.
 
Just checking in....32gb black ordered 9/30 over the phone, still on BO as of this morning.

I'd also like to reiterate that Verizon 32 and 64gb iPhone 5's are shipping prompt. I ordered my wife's VZW 32gb white iPhone 5 last week and it arrived exactly one week later. Go figure.

yeah i highly doubt that happens. If they cancelled my order i would cancel my service after 15 long years with ATT

Ordered 16GB BLK on 9/30 in store - off BO yesterday afternoon, shipping info received last night. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow afternoon.

I ordered black 16gb same day in store. Do you remember what time of day you ordered?
 
A lot of trolls in these threads. Apparently some find it funny to say they ordered after someone else and already got their phone. Pics or it didn't happen, I guess.

No idea. I noticed that some of the AT&T phones are shipping from DFW. I live in downtown Dallas, so demographics may have something to do with it. Seems first come first serve is a part of it, and demographics is secondary. I'd expect yours to come off BO in within hours.

The phone is being shipped via UPS 2nd Day Air. So, for a Friday order looks like Tuesday at the latest. The UPS system didn't have the tracking number in the system yet, so not able to confirm that yet.

Looks like the 64GB models are still shipping out within 24 hours.
