I'd still like to know what it is. I am not convinced it is dust. May look like dust, but I just don't buy into it migrating in from outside. Think it has to do with screen construction, something flaking off.Lol fair. I think there's definitely units without it but lots of people probably have it and don't even notice it. Saw it faintly on my buddy's 6s

Ok that explains it then. WARNING. Do not press screen with phone in pocket. Sucks up pocket lint. Nervous people pumping phone screen when in pocket, who would have thought.Nope. It's dust for sure. If you press the middle of your screen rapidly, in succession, you will hear and feel air coming out of the mute switch. I am a little surprised as this is my first phone that has ever had this dust issue.

Market for iPhone lint filters. Snaps on over ports. I micron filters.
Not so much holding wrong as pumping them in pockets full of lint and dust. So far I have not had any dust inside. But then I turn my pocket inside out removing lint and dust. But that's just me.Translation: people are holding their iphones wrong![]()
I'm amazed by these reports of dust.So you are in some super dusty environments? Is there a vacuum inside the phone sucking in air mixed with dust? Are you finding the outside of your phone covered in dust?
It seems highly unlikely that so much dust is finding it's way snide the phone and between the layers of the display. While I am not disputing that it appears to you as dust, I cannot perceive the physical mechanism that is injecting this dust between display layers.
The phone does not contain a fan, like a laptop that forces air through it. I think it is far more likely that there is some sort of reaction taking place between the layers that appears as dust. Only tearing a display apart would be conclusive. If it is truelly dust, the phone should be loaded with it on the inside.
Why not put a piece of tape over the opening you believe is allowing so much dust inside. If the dust keeps getting more and more after that I submit it is not in fact dust.
I'm amazed by these reports of dust.
I ride horses and have fun dogs so I'm out in very dusty environments.
No dust in any of my iPhones, ever. And I'm currently using both an iPhone 6s Plus and an SE.
LOL!!!!! Sure!!!!! Go ahead and scrutinize away. The fact remains many of the 6S series have dust in the top left corner. Maybe you just dont see it. Would you provide a picture with full brightness on a white background?
LOL!!!!! Sure!!!!! Go ahead and scrutinize away....
I only provided it because it was asked of me.Assuming the dust problem is real, you won't see dust specs in a screenshot.
I see some dust on that rock in the foreground........Assuming the dust problem is real, you won't see dust specs in a screenshot.
Maybe if I feel like it and have time after getting back from work I will take picture of screen with another iPhone. That way you can see I don't have dust on 100% bright white screen.Well there's dust all over the bottom.....
Oh I believe you!!!! Like I said I've never had any issues with my screens.Maybe if I feel like it and have time after getting back from work I will take picture of screen with another iPhone. That way you can see I don't have dust on 100% bright white screen.
Yeah I am working on Father's Day. Why thou think my avatar face palming.
I think it's quite condescending and arrogant of you to downplay the issue. You don't get to decide whether issues are real or not. You don't have any issue, fine. Doesn't change anything to the people do have issues.LOL!!!!! Sure!!!!! Go ahead and scrutinize away.
Whatever you find let me know. I've never bothered with it, but since you ask, here you go.

I don't use my phone with a full white background. Usually there is something on it, like oh.....I don't know.....the wallpapers currently use?

Fact is I use my phone in all kinds of environments and I've never had any black specs or gray shadows bother me. Maybe because I don't go around getting white wallpapers and taking screenshots and blowing them up to 100x magnification? It's like people who spend time googling diseases....there's better things to do with life.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you doubted my veracity.Oh I believe you!!!! Like I said I've never had any issues with my screens.
dealing with 5se screen issues, now the dust in corner seems benign on my 6s plus
and a reminder i WILL absolutely not be playing swap game unless I decide to sell the phone before iPhone 7,
otherwise no friggin way
What iPhone SE screen issues? Curious.
im getting 6th Sealed Box Replacement, it has been shipped from Chine, reached Banglore yet,
i hope my next it would be fine.
Screenshots obviously don't show any issue. You again sound condescending. A lot of people notice the dust issue with regular use as well. Please try to be more empathic.Show me where I said any of that....pretty sure I said I don't go around scrutinising screens at 100% brightness and magnification.....pretty sure I said I just use my phones and get on with my life....pretty sure I said to whoever asked me to provide a screenshot to let me know what he finds....
But go ahead and believe what you think you read.
