That's a nice desktop you have there. How did you go about making the dock look like the iOS Multitasking bar?

What I mean is how did you make your dock look like that? With the similar style to the iOS Multitasking bar.

Oh, alright!

1) Make your dock 2D
2) Make your docks background transparent
3) Create a custom file in Photoshop which has a shadow in it, so that it seems that the wallpaper is on top of it, and open that in Geektool.

It's very hard to explain it in words, but if you like, I'll make a small tutorial with images on DeviantArt or something, because I'm sure others would like to know this as well.

I used the Flurry iconset (click), the Blue And Green wallpaper (click) and a custom made dock wallpaper (click for tutorial).

Had to get a new laptop for work (only 3 choices were available), so here is the desktop on my new Alienware M17x.

ill make the newbie post because i want to know lol. does anyone know how can you get tile icons like this using geek tool. i downloaded it and opened it and my head went blank. i do like the tile idea of windows 8 but am not leaving OS X and this would make it work i think.

Finally got around to tweaking my desktop a bit after installing lion. Also, going by the amount of people who appear to be using it, I assume the latest build of geek tool plays nicely with Lion, or are the people I see using it still running 10.6?
