Yea mine started doing this again after being fixed for several updates. Now it usually times out several times when I try to reconnect. It's majorly pissing me off!

I bought an MBA this weekend and this is happening to me also. I'll try the fixes posted here, hope it works!

When I was having this issue, the one thing that seemed to work was disabling bluetooth. For whatever reason, once i turned off bluetooth, it would always reconnect to my wireless network. Not sure if this fix was already mentioned, but it's worth a shot...

Bluetooth interferes with the Wi-Fi on Air

Ever since I switched to the 11" Air, I have this problem. In my house I have a 15" MBP and a 13" MBP, all running Lion and this problem does not exist on those machines. So I cannot blame Lion for this problem. I did everything from upgrading to the most recent EFI to deleting the entries in the keychain and re building the network list. Nothing helped. I tried using 5GHz only as opposed to mixed frequencies. In short almost everything it was suggested by most people in this and other forums. By the way, I have 100% Apple hardware for the Wi-Fi, so this is not a router issue either. In the end I identified the problem 100%! There is a hardware design problem with the Air. Bluetooth interferes with the Wi-Fi. If I turn off the BT, Air connects to the WiFi very quickly and 100% of the time; not a single miss! However, if I turn on the BT, the problem re-appears. With the BT on, my Air connects to the Wi-Fi sometimes but most of the times it cannot. Turning the Wi-Fi off and on also helps but neither of these are true solutions. If this is a hardware design problem, which appears to be, I doubt that there will be a quick remedy. At home I use my Air as a portable machine and turning the BT off does not cause me any inconvenience. At the office I use my BT keyboard and Magic Pad, so I have to turn on the BT, however, at the office I also connect to the internet using the USB to Ethernet adapter, so I don't notice the Wi-Fi connection problem. I'm sorry for not offering a true solution here but at least i am quite confident about the BT / Wi-Fi interference so you can stop looking elsewhere.
