Apple and the NFL have announced that Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The performance will take place at Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California.

Bad Bunny is one of the biggest Latin music artists of all time, with many chart-topping hits. He was named Apple Music's Artist of the Year for 2022.

Apple Music has sponsored the Super Bowl Halftime Show since 2022, with previous performers including Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, and others.

In the U.S., Super Bowl LX will be airing on NBC.

Bad Bunny is super popular for the younger generation. Interesting that's the audience they're targeting.

Good for him though!

I saw that too. Read she wasn’t happy with the deal. Which is weird cause artists typically don’t get a large payment for performing the Super Bowl. The Weeknd supposedly paid out of pocket.

Very good point. Yeah I think most artists are just grateful for the exposure of all the people that tune it to watch the Super Bowl. I guess Swift probably doesn't need any extra exposure as she is at the height of her appeal.

In before all the boomers complaining that they don’t know him and that they instead want Metallica and Ted Nugent to perform.

Wasn't Metallica a bit after the Boomers generation. They were defined in 80's heavy metal scene? No?

Usher is the others.

Taylor reportedly didn’t want the usual halftime deal where performers just get a flat fee to cover production costs and then kick in their own money to make the show bigger, all in exchange for “exposure.” Word is she pushed for a much higher NFL-paid budget, several commercial spots worth millions to promote her new albums, and for the league to cover her dancers’ pay. She also wanted rights to use the halftime footage however she wanted down the road, including in her own projects like documentaries or music videos, which no other act has ever gotten. In the end the NFL said no, but it’s clear talks went pretty far given all the hints Taylor was dropping the past month about being the likely headliner.

Crazy since Apple propped her so many times. Probably hundreds of millions in advertising.

Older people are stuck in their ways. Younger people are impressionable. They probably see a bigger boost in viewership by targeting the younger audience.

Also, I've never heard of this guy and would have preferred Metallica.

:D

Ok I see your point on that. I guess I just had a hard time seeing my parents (boomers) rocking out to Metallica.
Early boomers most likely dislike Metallica, but the later ones are in to them. My dad was born in 1961 (boomers end around 64 I think) and he was a huge Metallica fan. He was in his 20s in the 80s when they were releasing their best material, so it makes sense. Older boomers would be in their 40s, and probably thought it was noisy garbage. 🤣

Boomers are people born between 1946 and 1964. You think there are that many members here between 61-79?

Or are you one of those people who thinks anyone over 20 is a boomer?

The members of Metallica are in their 60’s that’s not the target demographic the half time show is going for. Bad bunny is one of the biggest entertainers right now
