So I'm guessing this is why she's keeping a lower profile during games this year (other than the Chiefs and Travis sucking this season).

Bingo. I think she knows the NFL has gotten a lot of play out of her relationship with Kelce the last two seasons, for free, and she doesn't do anything for free. She wanted some perks to do halftime no artist ever received before and evidently the NFL drew the line because ultimately they know they can't let the genie out of the bottle as every artist in the future will model their demands over "what Taylor got." Now she is ticked off and denying the NFL her free promotion of being seen easily at games etc. and denying she ever intended to play the halftime show (she ABSOLUTELY did plan on it, had all kinds of preparations already beginning, and even leaked all kinds of clues she would be preforming during her appearance on the Kelce podcast a couple months ago.)

It's the new "insult" I've noticed. Not just here, but in general. People will say "Never heard of him/her" when they dislike a person. I saw them say it here about Kim Kardashian even when she did some Beats promotion. People were saying "never heard of her". Like really?

The target audience is already watching. The objective is to get people that are not your usual audience to tune in. The business only grows if more people watch.
