Badge icons randomly not working for Snapchat

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I am using the iPhone XS, and noticed that occasionally I will get a Snapchat notification, but the badge icon on the app itself won't show up.

Edit: Reinstalling the app seems to have fixed it
