I want a messenger bag for my devices, and maybe like a notebook or planner or two. I was looking at the Watefield Muzzeto and the Nutsac Sacdaddy. I would choose the Sacdaddy but I dislike it's lack of a laptop sleeve. Anyone here have experience with either of these bags? Or any good bag for a mbp and iPad Pro.

I use the Tumi linked below which has a pocket for a laptop and also a tablet. It easily caries my 2010 13” MBP and IPP. Before I started using OneNote I would put my notebook in the centre section.

I like it because it has the normal Tumi organisation but as I travel weekly for work with only carry on luggage it is small enough to sit on top of my case and ride along easy. As it is smaller than your average laptop case I can also make it work for casual use when needed.

The expandable zip makes it easy to carry extra on the few times I need it but it is not used often.

The muzetto is a nice bag - but I find it is really heavy. I have the size that will fit a 13 in macbook pro. The ipad and computer both fit in it just fine. I quit using mine because of the weight and because it is an odd shape that ultimately just was not for me

If I were carrying more than my iPad and if I were frequently taking the iPad out of the house, then the weight would be a more significant issue for me. For me, I find it important that it hangs naturally and is easy to walk with and that the iPad goes in and out with minimal effort. I also did not want something that screamed "I am carrying tech gear". I find it elegant but understated.

The internal design is superb with both compartments for laptop and iPad. The quality of the materials are second to none. You would not regret it:D

I'm using the same bag, though I believe mine is the Alpha and the Alpha 2 is the replacement. It is the absolute perfect travel bag. Just as you say, it fits nicely on carry on luggage, has excellent storage for a MBP and iPad. Actually, I sometimes have to travel with my work issued PC, and still tote the MB Air and iPad around with me. For the size of the bag, there is no shortage of room. It has been one of the best bags I've ever owned and easily fits under the seat for air travel.

I upgraded to a 12.9” iPad Pro and need a new bag. The pocket in my timbuk2 Command is about a half inch too small.

I'm a fan of the Minaal Daily....it is overpriced but the ability to be a messenger bag, or take out the backpack straps is nice. I also REALLY like how the tablet and notebook can be accessed from vertical and horizontal alignment, and are suspended for extra protection. This photo shows that a bit:

The Muzetto might be a little tight with both a MBP and IPP. I have the Muzetto and it's a perfect fit for my IPP along with its accessories and a notepad and magazine or two. Anymore than that you would need a bigger bag. Two minor gripes with it - the flap doesn't have anything to secure it down, and this bag lacks a back handle, making it awkward taking the bag in and out of the trunk.

Consider the Bolt Breifcase - its a lot like the Sacdaddy but with the compartments for both a laptop and tablet.

I'm assuming you mean the messenger bag. What size do you have, small or medium? I have the medium, and with a knockoff folio cover on I am able to just squeeze my 12.9" ipad into the tablet sleeve in the laptop pocket. I am able to carry my work XPS 15 and the ipad this way without issue.

I prefer a vertical messenger. I have the Bolt for my 15in MBP touch as well as the smaller gadget bag for all the adapters and cords I now need. The smaller gadget bag can fit in the bolt or carry separate and the 11 pro fits in the interior sleeve. . https://www.sfbags.com/collections/pouches/products/tech-folio-gear-case

I'm about 99% sure I have a medium. I was able to get my iPad into the table pocket but just barely and it was so tight it was holding the power button and activating Siri. Also the tablet was covering the velcro. This stupid little pocket was one of the reasons I almost got the 11" version but so far I like the larger size for note-taking since its paper sized.

I carry Waterfield's Cozmo bag on a daily basis. According to the specs, it's about an inch or so larger than the Muzetto. It has a dedicated space for my MBP and my iPad in addition to room for a few more things like files, textbooks and so on. It's been about seven months, and I'm still happy with it. It's gorgeous. https://www.sfbags.com/collections/laptop-bags/products/cozmo-2-laptop-bag

I looked very closely at the Muzetto but wanted something with a little more room at the time.

I agree. That name is either hysterical or terrible.
