Hmm... You think Steve will be able to convince Obama to ditch his BlackBerry? At least he uses a Mac.

Build in America

Maybe they'll talk about making Apple products in USA. That would be great for the economy. But I think government would have to cut all taxes for apple in order to keep it affordable.

Go Steve!!!

So what type of gift will Obama have for Steve and what will steve have for Obama?

Obama is hoping Steve will share his Reality Distortion Field with him. :)

If only Steve were president. Can you imagine how awesome the USA would be? Holy hell!.

Steve J. For president? No thanks! Ive loved and used Apple products for 25 years, but if Jobs was president the USA would be a lot like Nth Korea; run by a dictator, with those who question rounded up at night. (the only differnce would be super fast internet and free Ipads for all).

Give Obama an iPad with the Constitution on it. Maybe then he will read it.

Since he has taught constitutional law, perhaps we can all assume that he has read this document. It is the lack of critical thinking that can draw such fallacious conclusions that worries me about today's American electorate.

Big technology initiatives have, in the past, often been drivers of economic recovery. Having lived through several of these downturns (none this big) I would love to see some big tech boom come along to pull us up a bit.

On a lighter note:

I wonder if Obama will keep his Blackberry hidden during the meeting?

Haha! +1.

Obama is a rare breed. Truthfully, he doesn't really care so much about what is in the Constitution. He has his goals for this country and if the goals are constitutional, then that's just gravy. He is an idealist with a grand vision of what America should be like. That's why it doesn't matter if his advisors or the public at large is with him. He is doing exactly what he conceives is the best course for the US. Unfortunately, idealists don't fare so well in a free democracy.

Look at all the negatives.
Pbbbt.

Anyway, it would be great if Apple moved their production back to the US. A dream and a big dream, but dreams are cool. I would pay even more for my Apple gear.

Obama's lack of real world experience is showing and damaging the country - e is all about sound bites and votes - can't comprehend how the real economy operates.

I was so disgusted with Bush, the Republicans and the horrible bouncing of the wall campaign that McCain ran that I voted for Obama - thought he couldn't be any worse.

Was I ever so wrong......

hahahahahahahahahaha..... snort.

Go Steve!!!

LoL, if apple products were made in USA, an iPod would cost 1500$ probably, before taxes.

Maybe apple should use some of its cash to hire some more people and help out the unemployment rate. (!)

When do corporations who pay their top brass exorbitantly get to shoulder some of the burden, and catch some of the heat, for our bad economy? People complain about the government, but corporate greed is more to blame from where I'm sitting.

Clearly I think Obama is doing a much better job than Bush was ever capable of. He just inherited the mess of thirty years of republican economic policies starting with Reagan.

/end rant

I opened this thread to see if there was anyone talking about Steve Jobs, instead all I got was a bunch of political point of views from people who don't even work in any government office or work as a politician.

It's really sad that everyone has become their own political blog in this country. It is fine to have an opinion, but can't we all just get along for once? There is such a thing as balance, where things don't have to get crazy.

The manufacturing cost is such a small part it wouldn't increase the price that much, maybe $600, max.

But it would take jobs away from the Chinese and give them to Americans who'd have to be paid 10x more, which makes no sense in capitalism.
