Battery Cycles/Age of Macbook Pro

27 months old, 427 cycles, 84% health. It's plugged in whenever I'm sitting next to a power outlet, and unplugged when I'm not. The battery health is low from being used plugged in so much. It still gets 4-5 hours with basic wifi web browsing, so I'm not bothered.

Dude. You must tell me how to do this with my new battery...

I run off power the majority of the time (always sleep, never shut down and always connected to the power) 4 - 5 times a month it comes out with me and uses its battery. Then not put back on power until its forcing itself into sleep mode. Rinse and repeat.

Still get a good 5 hours out of battery, unless handbrake or final cut is working.

From memory, my MBP is at around 180 cycles since new in November 2009.
I'm really confused now. Is the System Info tool misreporting my cycles? They seem considerably lower than pretty much everyone else's for the age of the machine.

The machine is used every day, although mainly plugged in, and it's not a replacement battery - it's the one it came with back in Nov 2009.

I'm about to sell it to make way for a 2012 MBP :)

24months 90% 258 cycles.

I get 3hrs on the battery browsing the web/facebook etc.
usually an hour and a bit if I play WoW on the battery :)

46 months: 609 cycles 89% health on my non-pro :D (Sorry, I'm trolling the MBP forums in excitement for WWDC)

I've been very happy getting 4 years on the original removable battery. Doesn't last as long as it used to, but not bad enough for me to shell out $$$ for a new one.

1 year, 932 cycles ????

This is imposible - 1 cycle per 9 hour ???

It's not impossible.. Using it a lot is pretty normal for some users. I'm at 15 Months @ 800 Cycles and I barely spend any time on the computer compared to the rest of my day.

14 Weeks

26 Cycles

90% Health

I’m a little concerned this seems a little low compared to what others have said!
