I am experiencing battery drain and very warm device when using safari on my replacement 13 Pro. I even downloaded and activated AdGuard last week. Safari is definitely the culprit. Any suggestions?
Do you have an Apple Watch paired with your phone? Are you finding a lot of battery drain in standby? Can you post a 24 hr battery usage chart with "SHOW ACTIVITY" selected so that the apps are shown with the amount time.

Thanks!
My suggestion is using the 24 hr battery usage chart, look at what apps were being run in the time slot when it looks like there was a lot of battery drain. For instance, it looks like large battery drop around 11am to 12pm. Select the individual bar and it will tell you which apps were running in that time slot. One thing you could try is running one app at a time and see if the battery drop is related to that app. Make sure your apps are up to date.

Another thing to try, backup your phone to the computer, do a DFU on the phone, restore the phone in DFU and then restore from backup stored on the computer.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have been using safari a lot this evening. Running hot and major battery drain. Safari seems to be the culprit, even on the previous 13 Pro.

The DFU thing scares me, but it is worth a shot.

I use AdBlock Pro for Safari and my phone never gets hot and the battery drain is normal while using Safar, even when I am on macrumors. Maybe give AdBlocker Pro a try. It is free.

I use AdGuard and don’t think it is working as intended. I’ll try AdBlock.

Didn’t make a difference for me. Used Adblock Pro originally and now AdGuard same issue. Browsing Amazon via Safari generated heats next to the camera module area. Like I mentioned in my other post , this is occurring on two different devices. Using any other browser runs fine though.

My 13 Pro Max never seems to get warm, even after hours of browsing sites like macrumors or amazon. In fact, there has been no situation I have encountered where the phone has ever got warm. I use Adblock Pro. My Silver 13 Pro Max is a launch iPhone. I have a clear TPU case on it as well as clear glossy film on the frame. And neither of those has affected the temperature of the phone.

I guess I got lucky with the 13 Pro Max I received. Never gets warm, the screen is uniform, no noticeable tinting issue. It does has some off axis color shifting. With the except of a few software bugs, it has been fast and great to use. And best of all, the battery life has been bonkers insane.

Mine never gets warm either. Except for that one website I mentioned. 😂🤣 remember two different devices behaved the same way for me. One device built august one in end of Sept. In any case ran some more diags. Unchecked a few Adblock extension switches and it appears to have done the trick. Now to work backwards and enable those switches to pinpoint actual offender. Issue is and always will be software based when only one app or site behaves as such.

If you are not using an ad blocker in Safari, consider using one. I use the free ad blocker AdBlock Pro. My phone never gets warm using Safari on any website I visit and that includes macrumors. Maybe that will help.

I was using Adblock Pro originally and now AdGuard. They are not working as intended. I’ll try what @Limeybastid did and uncheck Adblock extensions...

Following up here...

I traced my issue to using Wifi Sync to my Mac.
My problem went away completely with zero known reason for several weeks.
Then suddenly it came back, terrible battery life. I could see on the graph that it started around noon on a particular day.
I figured out that I had connected to my iPhone using Apple Finder via Wifi around noon that day.

I turned off Wifi Sync, bam. Amazing battery life.
