Battery fix for iPhone 4s

I have also added that repo and installed the battery fix. I'm really crossing my fingers that it improves the life. Charging to 100% right now and will let people know my findings.

My battery isn't worse after the JB but in general my battery life is awful compared to my old 4.

I haven't jailbroke yet, and my battery is awful. I took my phone off the charger, used twitter for 10 min this morning and was down 10 percent, then a phone call, 4 more gone, few texts (non iMessage) and down below 80.

I want to jailbreak but I can def see my battery getting worse with more tweaks and apps, I'll be using my phone constantly...

I sorta wish my iphone 4s not running 5.0+, like my old iphone 4 lol...almost wish i didn't sell it, almost.

Prob gonna jailbreak tomorrow after work.

Try Boost Magic on the App Store. I've used it on my iPod touch for a year or more, and now on my phone. Charges faster, automagically reconditions your battery, and seems to improve battery life overall.

Plus, it's not one of the battery apps that make use of 3D capability when you're checking how much time you have left. Always find those amusing.

i got the error to contact dev when it was downloading. are you sure you all did not get the same?

i just went ahead and deleted it afterwards.

I got the same on both repos. It said it when it was configuring, but went on like normal and told me to reboot. Dunno if I should delete it and try again later?

Try the second repo. I just got an update for it as well. 1.0.5 I think? Not sure if that's what people got from insanelyi or what. I won't be able to see how battery life is until tomorrow

I think we will definitely see some stats from others today

via ifile, i added the .deb file mentioned itt. if for whatever reason i want to remove it, do i just go into ifile and remove any files with 'batteryfix' in the file name?

Wow I've never seen past 6 hours usage! Nice.

Really? Because I almost always get over 6 hours from texting, playing games (some graphics intensive), and safari. And total standby time is between 17-24 hours or more at times. Of course I think that's with me running the battery to below 20% IIRC...

Anyways, what constitutes a good battery? My battery seems fine, but that could be because I never had an ip4 to compare it with...might be getting this sometime if it really does work.

I am tempted to jump on this... but I'm gonna hold off a day or two and see what people are saying about it. I would like to know how it saves battery exactly

Are you doubting my claim? Would you like a screenshot? As I previously said, I'm not a heavy user so that may be why, but I definitely do get past 6 hours of usage from safari, games, and texting.

I agree with the other two. That doesn't mean I doubt your claim I just feel like you're a minority. Today, for instance, I lost 25% battery in two hours and all I was doing was an occasional text message. If I'm at 100% I can sometimes get about 6 hours of texting/reddit/safari. And that's if I'm really lucky.

I got that same message about failing to contact dev when installing from xsellize. It did install though and my phone rebooted. I also did just get that update. I heard that insanelyi encrypted the file so it couldn't be ripped do you think this can be the cause? Do you think it is really installed properly?

Oh well from that post above me it looks like i should just uninstall it, I went to reinstall and i got the same error message he mentioned in his tweet. I don't understand why he can't release it like any other package. Why force us to sign up for a yearly membership to insanelyi, I'm just nnot doing it just because of that

I have no idea what battery fix is circulating on xsellize repo but me lucky enough not have installed it yet just coz I have no idea what is doing etc..

thanks for sharing the tweets.

I decided to give it a shot myself, downloaded it off the XSellize Repo so we'll see how it goes... I'll post my results later tonight, I'm just about done here charging it to 100% :D

Try reinstalled it and read through the text before you reboot, you will see an error message. I do not think its properly installed. I uninstalled mine for now. just giving you a heads up

I'm interested in seeing the placebo effect upon battery life by installing a non-functional app. ;)
