I loose 3% on restarts too! Battery stays then quite a few time on that %. 76% -> restarted-> 73% and it took over 20 min to drop to 72%
YES! THIS! I frickin lost 4 percent on a restart and I was about to lose my mind. I thought something bugged and restart would solve the problem but no… even worse. I’m glad that I’m not the only one but at the same time I’m so sorry to have these…
Yup, same here. So freaking weird. I already did the online chat support (useless) and have scheduled a Genius Bar appointment in store on Friday. I'm not sure if that'll really help either, but I'll see.

Anybody else having this problem, don't bother wasting your time restoring it. There's not really a difference.
I was about to restart my whole ecosystem to solve this but it seems to have no effect as you said. So I will try to keep up at least for another week.

Battery life has been pretty hit or miss for me on the 13 Pro. Standby and general usage seem okay to me, but I'm travelling right now and I've noticed severe drain in low signal strength areas and when using apps that utilize location tracking. At one point today I had lost 20% of my battery with only around 30 minutes of screen on time. Yesterday the same screen on time resulted in only around 5% loss (while being in a more metropolitan area).

I hope some of this will also improve with updates. Since iOS 15 has been surprisingly buggy for me, it does seem like there's a bit of room for improvement.

All day. 4 hour 9 min SoT. 2 h 2 min off screen.
Are my expectations really high or are these numbers kinda okay?

I talked to apple and they said I should delete YouTube and instagram. Of course that will solve my problem.

For those who upgraded from an 11 Pro, would you say the 13 Pro is a decent upgrade from 11 Pro?

I‘m on the fence, but planning to check out the 13 Pro this weekend!

I would say so. The screen is the biggest change with 120 Hz. I still have my 11 Pro: you get used to the new screen pretty fast, but the second I pick up my 11 Pro, the difference is jarring. It just feels so jittery.
However, it all depends on what you want from your phone. 11 Pro is a fantastic device and I would’ve been able to go with it for another year easily.

My exact feelings coming from a XS to a 13 Pro.

The 11 Pro and the 13 Pro have almost identical batteries.

(The 12 Pro was actually smaller than the 11 Pro.)

So the 13 Pro gets the batteries back on par to the 11 Pro.

Now, throw in screen improvements (ProMotion), A15 chipset improvements, modem improvements, etc.

I was going to hang on to my 11 Pro; however, the carrier deals offered were a no brainer for me, so I upgraded.

Completely agree with this view. Although I haven’t really managed to test the camera out properly to compare but that was one of my other main reasons besides better battery.

To those setting up as “new”, I haven’t done this in years and have forgotten what data you lose while doing this. Given I have iCloud Drive storage available and everything synced up with iCloud and an Apple Watch paired with the device now, if I go the full reset and “set up as new” route, what do I lose, if anything?

you have to download every app again. I didn't lose my photos, imessage conversations etc. even my activity of my apple watch. Just have to re connect.

You have to sign in into your banking apps etc.

If that’s all then I’ll take the plunge today and take the entire weekend to set it back to where I was. the main thing I’m worried about is losing activity from Apple Watch.

What did you do with the watch? Unpair first and then did a backup or nothing at all?

Please unpair first. Of course you have to re download every app on the apple watch + watch face. Idk if you can do an update on the AW.

It takes me 1-2h to restore my iphone + apple watch. Including adjusting my homescreen + set up mail + focus etc. If you have whatsapp please do a chat backup. Idk where you live but I saved my covid vaccination app too.

Thank you, will give it a go.

Yesterday i had 4hrs of SOT with 50% left. Cannot compare to any other iphone because I’m from android. If 8 hours is possible and people aren’t happy with that then they have unrealistic expectations from a ‘mobile device’

Last night my iPhone 11 Pro dropped 1% overnight and 13 Pro dropped by almost 18%

I’m categorically getting worse battery life compared to the 11 Pro which is at 89% battery health.

I’ve reset the 13 Pro on Friday and have just setup the settings from the iCloud backup earlier that day. Everything got downloaded separately.

I find I get much worse on LTE vs WiFi. ~8hr vs ~4hr. A bit concerning…
