Abysmal. I got it Friday at 7:30 AM and it's spent most of its life charging.

I turned off a TON of location services. I had over 50 running, including Find My Friends with is constantly pinging the server. I'm gonna give it another day before I head into Apple and exchange the phone, in the hopes I just got a bum battery.

Help!

Someone help!

Why does mine still show this despite me going through a full charge cycle already?!

100% > 0% then fully charged using a wall socket or laptop?

Plugged into the wall.

I got my iPhone 5, took it out of the box, signed into iCloud, and plugged it into the wall for 4 hours. I was working a nightshift that night.

Then I used to to about 50%, charged to 100%. After that I ran it down to 0% and charged to 100%.

The battery life was pretty poor in the beginning. It seems to be improving.

Now, it's not like this was my plan or anything. I just wanted to see how the battery was. On my new devices, I usually run them to dead a few times in the beginning, but not because the battery has a memory or anything. I do it to see what the battery life actually is. Plus, I figure it helps the device report the actual battery % better if its been through a few recharge cycles.

I do believe the battery life will get better and better through the first week. If it does not, exchange the phone.

So basically if I want good battery life I cant load a back up and I have to start from scratch?

Light usage with wifi on when I'm home. About 50% screen brightness for half the day then ~35% second half. Pleased with battery life

Very happy with this.

Lighter usage than normal as it is a Sunday but it included a 90 minute Skype call over WiFi

Battery life was fine in Philadelphia. In Raleigh right now and I'm losing almost 1% per minute in standby. Ouch. May have to turn off LTE.

My battery life was great on the first charge. Now on the second charge and I notice a little draining during standby.

On wifi my battery is amazing, this is all screen on usage. Mainly web browsing.
