My 4S battery seems just as strong on 7.0.

I've been overusing it too, and it seems to be okay. I did a restore and iTunes install and set up as new. I have yet to do a full drain and charge on the new software, maybe it will even improve.

Battery life looks quite the same on my iPhone 4S. Maybe it's just slightly better on iOS 7 because I've been playing with it a lot in the past few days, still having identical battery life as before, so...

I have also noticed a shorter battery life. My iPhone actually died when I was downtown today and the battery was at 49% when I left home max 2 hours prior! Has anyone seen any noticeable improvements by doing a clean reinstall? I am considering that, but I want to know if it helps at all, before plunging into it as it is time consuming

Didn't help for me!

Left my newly upgraded 4S at 100% before went to bed, and woke up to a completely drained/dead phone. needless to say - missed all my alarms!! Thank you IOS7

After reading yours, I carefully checked my 4s. Updated the os, then updated all the apps, then left overnight. Some 12+ hours later, with wifi +BT+cell all running - its holding at 83%. This was all easy install (no iTunes).

Give it the day to catch up and see if happens again tomorrow. Either its doing a bunch of stuff or something is off with the phone/config. And try all the reset stuff too.

Battery life on my 4s has taken a big hit. I turned off background apps updating, display down a lot(too much white/bright), display turns off quickly, etc... Battery still ticking down quickly.

Same. Tremendous battery drain. I left this morning for work at around 98%. So, maybe 3 minutes of checking maps for traffic, using the Starbucks app for 2 or 3 mins to get my coffee, and about 20 mins of listening to a podcast (pre-downloaded, not streaming), I was down to about 60% when I got to work. Total time, about 45 minutes. That's just nuts. I'm pretty much keeping it plugged in all the time now.

Mine isn't even charging, while it's plugged in to my desktop PC, and it's downloading software and syncing music.

It's held steady at 57%. Here's to hoping...

It looks like iOS7 drains the battery too quick on my 4S. Less than a half day almost without talking and I'm on 19%! I hope it will not be like this. How about you guys with 4S?

Did you update or restore and update. I have had bad luck when I just did an update. Did restore and update and so far no issues with battery

Iphone 5 doing ok..been playing videos, mostly surfing Internet, and texting.

It couldn't possibly be the fact that you have a new OS are are using it more frequently or in ways you normally don't?

My battery is the same in iPhone 4S and ipad 4. Wife has noticed no difference as well.

Mine's the same way.

I left the house at 9 this morning with 98% charge. This after I pulled my 4S off the charger at 98%, somehow it went down from 100-98 on the charger. Can't remember that happening ever before, it may have I not noticed though. by 2 I was down to 41%. And I had barely texted, maybe 20 tops. And a few emails were sent. Wifi on, bluetooth off, app refresh off. At 6 I was at 19%.

I'm gonna give it another day tomorrow and if it's still bad I'll downgrade to iOS 6, especially since I'm not enthused with most of iOS 7 anyways.

But hey my iPad 3's battery life seems to kick ass and I really really like iOS 7 on it.

My 4S is at 23% with 4hr 31min usage and 11hr 40min standby.
Used iTunes Radio for about an hour and used iTunes Radio w/a GPS running app for about 20min so I'm pretty happy.

4S now at 16% battery charge and i only got 12hours of standby and 4hours of usage out of the phone :(

Turned off anything that might charge more battery, also did a fresh restore.

The funniest thing happened to me today. So my battery was down at 25% last night and I go to sleep and plug in the phone to charge.

I wake up around 5 am (the phone is fully charged to 100%) and play around with it for like 10 mins and go back to sleep. I wake up like 3 hours later, the phone is still plugged in the charger, and I wake up the phone and it says 97%?? How can the percentage drop when the phone was plugged in the whole time? I tried unplugging the phone and charging again but it won't charge now. This has never happened before on my 4S. Any ideas on why this happened and what to do now since it won't charge again?

Give it a week.

One of hte new iOS 7 features is to learn when to update stuff in the background based on your usage patterns and also to time application updates so they occur together to save power.

It should hopefully improve (yes im seeing bad battery on my 4s too right now).

Also, I suspect my battery is worse than normal because of the novelty - im playign with the phone a lot more than last week.

edit:
as per previously with the issues when upgrading to 6... a clean install may also help, as suggested here.

Trying to keep a battery charged without letting it discharge is bad for the battery.

So it probably now tries to let the battery discharge a bit before charging once it is full.

I've been 3G'ing most of the morning...screen brightness low and paralex off...but if I hadn't just got a 5S I'd be pretty worried about going forward with iOS7 on this 4S!

You guys must be doing something wrong with your installs, my battery life on 7.0 is perfect on my 4S -- same as it was on 6.1. Hasn't decreased at all.

My 4S battery life is also pretty bad on iOS7.

I could get a full day and a half from 6.1 but now I'm not getting 24 hours out of it. If I unplug from charging around 10pm, go to bed, by 4pm it will switch its self off. This has happened 3 days in a row now.

So I am carrying a charger with me, which is stupid!

My battery life is worse under iOS7.

This is to be expected across the iPhone board, according to Ars. iPhone 5 being the worst affected.

I think I will skip the update as I can't complain of iOS 6.1.3. battery life with wifi always on.

Guys and gals,
I'm trying to ask the same question for several times and it looks like like noone have seen it so far,

PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS QUESTION:

When it's charged at 100% it still shows the charging symbol near the battery. I remember in iOS6 when it's fully charged the charging symbol was changed to wall plug symbol. Is it the same with you guys on iOS7 or it still shows charging symbol when it's fully charged?

THANKS :):):):):):)

54% remaining after 3hr 3 mins here, after a full overnight charge. Hmm..

I'm getting similar stats on 7.0 on my 4S. Battery hasn't decreased at all. It's draining faster ONLY because I've been using it like crazy after getting 7.0.

Mine shows the bolt symbol even when it's fully charged. I don't think it will show the plug symbol anymore, when its done. Don't know why they changed that.
