I've been wearing my watch for 10 hours today, currently at 72%. Light usage to be honest.

How are you able to hit 2.5 days when you’re at 72% after only 10 hours?
The battery drain isn’t usually linear. Also, how active are you during the day? If you don’t mind me asking

Just finished another charge on my AW4.

2 days 5 hours standby & 6 hours active use until the battery hit 10%.

It more than exceeds my expectations.

I actually did a workout yesterday, which tends to be the biggest battery drain for me.
I agree the battery isn't linear. I noticed that when doing some sleep tracking tests and battery usage would increase over night when I didn't charge. So if I didn't charge, the first night would be 5% battery drain, the second night 7% and the third night 10%.

Based on the stats you posted, you should get a little over a day on a full charge with your current settings and usage.

18 hours 10 minutes of standby at 39% battery would work out to ~30 hours of total standby until your battery ran out.

How do I find & post these stats to maybe help others? I’ve not done anything to consciously conserve battery life but go easily for two days at a time with a 90 minute charge.

Would you mind posting your Watch usage stats when it's at 20%?

How do I do this please?

It's under "usage" in settings on the "Watch" app on your iPhone.

the first week, battery life was stellar. now I notice it draining quicker, like my series 0 did. I was watch the battery drop from sending a few messages. wouldn't be shocked if it was the phone draining it, not the actual watch itself. phone battery drains quick too. multiple reboots on both don't help.

I work in front of a computer so the screen lights up often. Probably why I’m unable to beat that 2 day mark.

For me it was the opposite. During roughly the first week of ownership, usage was not so great - it would barely make it through a day. This wasn't due to playing around with it more either. There's little to do *on* the watch, so my usage pattern is pretty much the same every day: seeing notifications, one or two Siri inquiries, checking the time, HRM, etc.

After those first few days I noticed the battery remaining on the watch when I charged it was getting longer and longer - it worked its way up from ~18% to ~30%. Now it is usually ~60% when I toss it on the charger after a full day, and the upward trend on the battery has stopped at about that level.

FWIW: I have a couple of hours after I wake up before leaving for work. That's when I charge the watch. Otherwise I wear it constantly - even while sleeping for the HRM.

Hello. I went to the assistance and as I expected, they didn't exchange my watch. According to them, the battery is normal. However, they suggested me to charge the watch with iPhone charger. So, I removed the heart rate complication and charged with iPhone charger. The result was much better. I usually get 1 day and 8 hours in standby and after that, I got 1 day and 21 hours with light usage.

What are people getting in the 44 LTE version with cellular activated?
[doublepost=1543844226][/doublepost]is the only way to disable app refresh to do it on the watch app on my iPhone?

I’ve had a series 4 since it launched. Been great and battery life has been solid. All of a sudden, for the last couple of days the battery has been draining very fast. No change in usage or apps or anything. Last night and the night before it went to power saving mode before 8pm. Usually at or close to 50% by that time is usually. It’s not 8:30am, been off charger for about 90 minutes and it’s already dropped to 79%. Can’t figure it out. Anyone else see anything like this? Don’t want to do a full wipe/re-pair if I can avoid it.

Have you tried restarting it?

Maybe try restarting your iPhone as well (if you haven't).
Done everything but a full wipe/restore/repair. Hoping to avoid but may not be able to. Down to 63% now after 3.5 hours off charger. Watching it drop a percent every few minutes and not using for anything like workout Siri etc.

If there are not third party apps you added or changes to complications and watch faces, it sounds like you might not have too many choices.

If you do restore it as new, turning on "Health" in iCloud sync will preserve your health data, activity, and achievements without needing to restore from a backup.

My apple watch 4 series 40mm was fully charged before leaving to work this morning. By the time I got to work an hour and a half later it was at 80% move forward to 3:00 and my watch is actually dead. I have not used it all day other than to look at the time. WTH happened? Since I don't carry a charger I can't charge it till I get home. This has never happened. I've been able to go a day to a day and a half without having to charge it..

Have you restarted it? Mine started losing a ton of battery power a few weeks ago, getting down to like 20% where normally I am between 50-60% depending on the day. A restart fixed it.

It’s completely dead. I will charge it when I get home and see how it goes. Thank you for letting me know though.

Recently I noticed my Series 4 was getting significant use over night and nothing really changed settings wise. I restarted first, nothing. Ultimately I ended up un-pairing/re-pairing and set up as new. After it settled, I found it was still getting more use than I would expect while I'm sleeping and found the culprit to be Siri. I disabled the "listen for HEY SIRI" setting. Much better now.

I had the same problem and after lots of testing found that the battery sometimes will start having 1 hour of usage every hour.

I found 3 ways to fix the problem:

1) Just do a restart.
2) Theatre Mode Overnight
3) Airplane mode overnight

If your problem isn't totally fixed try option 2 and 3 overnight. The results are very good.

I found disabling “Raise to Speak” for Siri was good enough to stop the battery drain. It was ok for me to leave “Listen to Hey Siri” enabled.

Make sure walkie talkie is disabled. I noticed mine some how got turned back on and it is a significant power drain.
