Speaking of screenshots. How do u take a screenshot on the 6?! I tried pressing power+home and it doesn't work for me lol

It takes a minute to get used to. Just different from what we're used to. The first two times I tried it I was accidentally hitting the volume button as well haha

Incredible!

I'm getting real good battery life on my IP6 on at&t. Mostly on wifi though. Brightness set at 45% and on auto. Setup as new phone, did not restore from any backup.

Here's mine. Pretty awesome compared to what I was getting out of my iPhone 5, but I rarely if ever let anything get this low. I did let the phone die maybe twenty minutes after this screenshot and then charged it up.

That's great. You could get some more battery by turning off your bluetooth.

Incredible!

What the... that is RIDICULOUS battery life! Yours is incredible. Is that an iPhone 6 Plus?

Wow best iPhone 6 battery life in this thread I think. Yours is better than mine for sure. You can get even more by turning off bluetooth.

Getting way better battery life than my Galaxy was getting. I'm very happy so far.

Ours are nearly identical in terms of battery life. So mine definitely isn't out of the blue.

I tried changing my usage pattern last night. I made sure not to listen to any music/audio podcasts so the phone was never being used without the screen being on. I also played the games Super Hexagon and Beat Drift to try making the iPhone 6 work harder.

For some reason my battery life actually fared even better. That's quite a surprise considering my iPhone 5s drained quite a bit when I played games on it. Very impressed so far.

Pretty terrible so far I think. Brightness was never higher than 60%, but usually between 40-50%. I restored from a backup from my old iPhone 5c which also had terrible battery life. I want to restore and start fresh, but don't want to lose all my messages/message thread data or any of my pics/videos in my camera roll.

Can't post a screenshot, but here's the breakdown:

Battery Percentage: 1% remaining

Usage: 5 hours, 13 mins
Standby: 6 hours, 10 mins

Battery usage during last 24 hours:

Messages 25%
Snapchat 18%
FaceTime 10% (I hadn't used this since the night before so it was unrelated to this discharge cycle at all)
Tweetbot 9%
Safari 9%
Alien Blue 9%
Home and Lockscreen 8%

The rest was just apps that used 1%.

I can't imagine it's still downloading anything other indexing since I've had it since Friday morning. Also, this is almost all on wifi as well.

I was getting the same thing when I restored my 5s backup. I also didn't want to lose my Messages so I used this guide here: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2014/03/06/how-to-back-up-restore-sms-messages/

I was able to keep my Messages and setup my iPhone 6 fresh. Now my battery life is AMAZING. Loving this phone :D

Pretty amazing for me. Just lasted 2 days on one battery (iphone 6).
Consider there is one night (about 8 hours) in airplane mode though.
Never lasted more than 1 day on iphone 5.

Also, everything is set to default: all location services, and background app refresh except for some apps like GPS.

Normal usage (phone, texts, group imessages, internet, facebook etc...), no big games or videos watching (except 5min of youtube).

So far so good

This is after 25 hours, on my first real battery cycle after draining it the day after getting it on Friday. Could not be happier with it.

Battery Usage/Life Screenshots iPhone 6

I'm pretty disappointed so far. What do you think.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411380196.470078.jpg

Usage was Like whatsapp on the Train for half an Hour.

Oh wow, did not realize I could do that. I may have to give that a try! Do you know if it's possible to keep your photos the same? I'd rather not have to download them off my phone then put it back via album. Also, I have 2 apps that have data I want to save (one is notes and the other is a 'safe' of sorts) - how would I do that?

Sorry to get off-topic, but I'm really excited about this.

Wow, I'd used iBackupBot for other things but never knew it could do this. Definitely going to do this later. Just need to figure out how I'm gonna do this with my photos, but thats less of an issue. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!!

Almost forgot to mention, but that is insanely good battery life you're getting right there. If I could get that kind of life out of mine I would be ecstatic!

I would like to know if everyone getting great battery life set up as new or restored from a backup? I think my battery is decent, set up from iCloud backup. I have a ton of pics that I don't want to lose and my MacBook doesn't have any more space to save the photos to allow me to set up as new. I don't want to go through the restore process if the battery life isnt very noticeable. Any input is appreciated.

I'm getting decent battery life on my iPhone 6.

Usage: 1 hour 30 minutes
Standby 6 hours 1 minute.

92%

Restored from new. It drained quite rapidly last night cause I was whatsapping a lot and it sits at the top of my battery usage at 32%!! Hope they optimise this app soon.

I also have the feeling whatsapp is a battery Killer. Deinstalled it and there is a noticeable improvement.
Only Problem is that Everyone is using whatsapp

I was getting pretty bad battery life on the iPhone 6 for the first two days (I'd get about 5.5 hours of usage with around 10 or so hours of standby).

Got the phone on Friday afternoon. Today, the battery life is *much* better.

If you're seeing really low usage times before it dies, give it a few days of charging. I know it's frustrating, but in most cases you'll see improved battery life within a few days.

If you're still getting bad battery life after a week of using it, then I'd head to the Genius Bar.

It's definitely possible. You would do the same method (in iBackupBot) as described in the link I posted.

For the Camera Roll export the 'Media' folder from System Files -> CameraRollDomain.

For AppData export data from User App Files -> APPNAME.

Then import the data to a fresh new backup file by navigating to the respective folders and hitting 'import'. :)

Yep, ended up figuring that out after I had posted my reply. Just did the restore, setup as new, and manually installed each app again so we'll see how things go. Will report back tomorrow with my findings.

If your number one battery drain was the Home & Lock screen then please don't even bother posting an image. Nobody cares how many hours you can squeeze out of standby.
