I'm concerned that I'm not getting near what others are getting.

I wasn't either until today (I got mine on Friday afternoon). Looks like you need to let the battery charge to 100% once or twice so it can calibrate itself.

The same thing has happened to pretty much every iPhone I've ever gotten. Battery life in the first 2 days or so is really concerning, but then it gets dramatically better.

If you're posting a screenshot of your usage stats, don't forget to say what model you have (6 or 6 Plus)!

brought my 6 back to Apple today and they checked my screen shots did some diagnostic? and believed me that I knew what I was talking about and my settings were set beyond appropriately.

New same 6 (increased storage to 128gb) is at 100% and I already feel like it's going to end up having respectable life.

Sometimes we just get wonky phones.

Pretty happy with this

Here is my usage. It's Tuesday, and my iPhone 6 hasn't been on the charger since Sunday evening. So far it seems like a nice improvement over my iPhone 5.

I was getting pretty bad battery life on the iPhone 6 for the first two days (I'd get about 5.5 hours of usage with around 10 or so hours of standby).

Got the phone on Friday afternoon. Today, the battery life is *much* better.

If you're seeing really low usage times before it dies, give it a few days of charging. I know it's frustrating, but in most cases you'll see improved battery life within a few days.

If you're still getting bad battery life after a week of using it, then I'd head to the Genius Bar.

Its like that with every smartphone these days. After a few days thats when real battery life kicks in.

Setup as a new iPhone and manually reinstalled all my apps from the App Store and battery life is still pretty bad. Made it about halfway through my day (had classes most of the day, was on wifi nearly all day, and T-Mobile service was decent) of barely using my phone (mostly texting with a very light amount of twitter) and it already hit 1%. Also, brightness was between 20-50% most of the day with a few times when it auto-brightened to 100% when I walked between classes and then dropped back down to about 40% once I was in class.

Probably gonna bring it to the Apple Store later this week for a replacement.

You're the first I read who has the same (bad) experience as I am having . Please keep posted what Apple is saying to all that.

Maybe there are some faulty phones around....

Me, you, and maybe one other person seem to have gotten some crappy units then. This isn't even hard usage either. I had to actively try not to use it too heavily. Hell, I only used MESSAGES for most of the day. How strenuous on the battery is that?! Not like I was playing games or using GPS or even watching video. If I could get even 8 hours of usage and 12 hours of standby outta this thing I'd be happy. Everyone else in this thread easily seems to be getting at least 8 hours of usage and 12+ hours of standby, but I can't even manage half that.

I probably won't bring this in till tomorrow or Friday the earliest, though. Actually, I'll make an appointment for tomorrow morning and let you know how that goes. This battery life is inexcusable.

It's definitely possible. You would do the same method (in iBackupBot) as described in the link I posted.

For the Camera Roll export the 'Media' folder from System Files -> CameraRollDomain.

For AppData export data from User App Files -> APPNAME.

Then import the data to a fresh new backup file by navigating to the respective folders and hitting 'import'. :)

As I mentioned above, the same method applies to photos too :D

Update: battery life is still terrible even after restoring as a new phone. Gonna see if I can bring it in to Apple tomorrow for a replacement.

My battery isn't faring as poorly as some of yours, but it's not great. I haven't used the phone too much today and I'm at 18% battery as I write this. 14 hours 25 mins standby, 4 hours 42 minutes usage. Not sure what's goi on but I'm going to try to kill the phone, and charge it from 0 tonight. We'll see!

My battery life so far...

I restored from iTunes backup, and ran the battery down to zero, and gave it a full charge.

I'm also having a similar problem. Getting about 5 hours of battery life, really considering exchanging it for the 6 Plus.

100% to 49%. Auto Brightness on. Think I can squeeze 9-10 hrs depending on usage.

I get my 6 Plus on monday. After iPhone 5 it's really really big. I tought to change it to iPhone6 but the battery uasge performance is just awesome. I'm not sure if I should get 6 or should I keep my 6+!!! 4.7" screen seems enought for me. Anyway here is the screenshot from my battery usage. Some advice about that would be nice. Thanks.

apps still need to be updated to iOS 8 compatibility and some more bug fixes and glitches, any glitches/lag people experience will be fixed extremely soon

I'm kind of worried about mine

do you have location services on, push email settings?

do you have location services on, push email settings?

Yes some because maps etc need it right?
And push for email otherwise it won't alert me of a new email right away right?

I turn off location services if I dont want any GPS related thing going on, its a drain, and well you can make the email option "Push" which basically constantly checks the email server to see if there is any new emails, Fetch is when it checks in x amount of minutes (you can set it to fetch every 15, 30 , 1 hr and beyond) to get your email . Fine tune these for better battery life, try fetch for email if you dont need emails on demand at that second(can always go in app too and check for new mail)
